Defining Not Automatically Executed Product Types

There are some cases of services that are not automatically executed and provision by the Storefront. Moreover, you may choose also not to allow certain product types to automatically execute and provision their corresponding services. In any case, those services that cannot be executed automatically because they require manual intervention from your side, are defined by their product type, meaning that all services of the same product type will be managed in the same way.

Defining your Not Automatically Executed Product Types

For defining your “Not Automatically Executed Product Types“, please navigate to BSS > Setup > System Options > Billing > Products > Product Types and select a product type, inside the “Product Type Details” page. In the “Customer Request“ section of that page, you can find the checkbox option Non-automatic execution of new orders with which you can define whether you wish to allow(disabled checkbox) the automatic execution of a new order or not(enabled checkbox), for the services belonging to that specific product type.

If the option “Non automatic execution of new Orders “ is enabled (which by default is disabled), our system will not automatically execute any order that contains services of this product type, but it will instead create a new order that requires manual management from inside the BSS by your operations team.

Rules for the “Non automatic execution of new Orders “ option

  • By default, when a new product type is created either automatically (via the initialization of the "Get Services Definition” process) or manually, the option "Non automatic execution of new orders" is disabled.

  • All the options of automatically executed requests for cancellation and downgrade, remain in their current state without being changed when the "Non automatic execution of new orders" option is enabled.
