Non-Automatically Provisioned Services

For services that cannot be automatically delivered to the customer, because our platform does not support automatic provisioning of the service, you can define a flow where you can swiftly manage and deliver the service to the customer by involving your internal team to provision manually the service your customer ordered. For enabling this flow for a specific service, we have introduced the option “Non-automatic execution of new orders” on the product type level. This option enables the following order fulfillment flow:

  1. A new order that your customer places in your Marketplace is not executed automatically but it is submitted for review.

  2. Your operation team is notified that there is a new order that needs to be managed manually.

  3. Your operation team should deliver (i.e., provision) the service manually either by contacting the Vendor of the service or by using tools the Vendor offers to your team for this purpose.

  4. When the service has been delivered to the customer, your operation team can now execute the order in the BSS portal for the subscription to be created and initiate invoicing.

By supporting different ordering flows, depending on the provisioning “readiness” of the service, you will be able to:

  • Use our platform to showcase and manage your complete products and services portfolio.

  • Leverage your cloud services marketplace and billing system to sell your own services.

  • Partner with any Vendor, having an order execution procedure established in their back-office.

  • Grow your business by bringing a wide range of SaaS products into your catalog to support niche or local markets.

  • Provide a single buying interface to your customers for every cloud offering.

  • Use widget dashboards and power reporting tools to monitor critical information regarding new, pending, or executed orders.

  • Improve your communications with your downstream customers, ensuring transparency into order status, provisioning status while pairing subscription dates with invoicing.

On the following pages, you can find guidelines, specific rules, and steps for swiftly managing and successfully provisioning any manually delivered service(s) that your customers ordered via the Storefront.
