Acronis Cyber Cloud for Cloud Distributors Integration

Acronis is a leading backup software, disaster recovery, and secure data access provider to consumers, small-medium businesses, and enterprises. Acronis solutions provide easy, complete, and safe solutions for data in local, remote, cloud, and mobile devices.

Our integration with Acronis Cyber Cloud allows Acronis Cloud Distributors to register new Acronis MSPs(resellers) and efficiently sell, provision, manage and bill their channel partners through a single platform. As an Acronis Cloud Distributors, you can now take advantage of our platform’s latest integration with Acronis Cyber Cloud. This integration offers you end-to-end service and enables you to automate the process of onboarding new Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and managing their business lifecycle.

The integration focuses on:

  • Simplifying the registration process of new CSPs. You will be able to sign up new Acronis CSPs under your distribution channel with minimum monthly commitment and through your own branded Marketplace.

  • Streamlining the management and monitoring of monthly commitment tiers. Your Service Providers will be able to monitor the consumption for each of their customers from your Marketplace.

  • Efficiently handling CSP pay-per-use billing. Your Service Providers will know exactly what they pay for the services their customers consume. The monthly generated invoice will be analytical in order to accommodate the pay-as-you-go charges in relation to the Service Provider’s commitment level.

Currently, we support all the Currencies that are supported by Acronis official price list (USDEURGBDAUDJPY and CAD) as well as our BSS Currencies via Foreign Exchange Rates.

Activating the Integration of Acronis CSP Contracts Services

For the automatic provisioning of Acronis Contracts to the service providers, we have implemented a service manager that handles the provisioning of the service provider tenants under the distributor.

Defining the Acronis CSP Contract Products

In interworks.cloud platform, the Acronis CSP Contract products are defined by the "Acronis Cyber Cloud for Service Providers" product type under its seven distinct Tiers (one product per tier).

Ordering an Acronis CSP Contract Product

The ordering process for an Acronis CSP Contract product is similar to processes that are pay-per-use (PPU), also known as consumption-based. The only difference here is that those Contract products are bound to a Minimum Commitment as explained on the "Defining the Acronis CSP Contract Products" page.  The reseller can select one of the Acronis CSP Contracts (Tier 0 - Tier 5 or Promo) you have published in your Storefront.

Billing an Acronis CSP based on his Contract

The billing process for an Acronis CSP Contract product is similar to processes that are pay-per-use (PPU), also known as consumption-based. The only difference here is that those Contract products are bound to a Minimum Commitment as explained on the "Defining the Acronis CSP Contract Products" page. An analysis follows on what you should expect from the billing process of such a Contract product along with an invoice example.

Managing an Acronis CSP Contract Subscription

There are two approaches that an Acronis CSP Contract subscription can be managed in terms of monitoring its current consumption and usage records. The first one is via the BSS and the second one is via Storefront.
Pay-per-use (PPU) subscriptions need to have an overview of the current consumption as well as the usage records. This way, service providers will be aware of the resources that are currently used and their cost.

Trial Products of Acronis CSP Contracts

Acronis allows its partners to offer free trials to CSPs who wish to evaluate the Acronis CSP Contract products and can convert these resellers to paid resellers at the end of the free period. Our platform automates the management of Acronis CSP Contract product trials by allowing your resellers to get a trial for the Acronis CSP Contract (Tier 0 - Tier 5) they wish to evaluate.

Upgrading/Downgrading Commitment Tier

As an Acronis distributor, you can allow your resellers to change their commitment tier. Our platform automates the management of Acronis contracts upgrades and downgrades by allowing your resellers to change their commitment tier (Tier 0 - Tier 5) according to their needs.

Ramp-Up Period for Minimum Commitment

As an Acronis distributor, you can allow a grace period concerning the Minimum Commitment charges towards your resellers. This grace period, known as the Ramp-Up period, excludes the Minimum Commitment amount for the first few billing cycles of an Acronis CSP Pay-Per-Use (PPU) subscription. On this page, you can find the analysis of the Ramp-Up period along with examples and rules per case of use.
