Activating the Integration of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud

For the automatic provisioning of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Services, we have implemented a service manager that handles the selling,  provisioning, and billing of the customer tenants under the MSPs.

Getting the Authentication Credentials for Activating the Integration

For activating the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud integration in interworks.cloud platform, you must have a partnership agreement with Acronis or an Acronis Distributor by enrolling in the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Program.

As an Acronis MSP, you can get your own Acronis credentials (Client ID & Client Secret), which can be found inside the tenant's "Settings" section of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud portal.
These are the credentials that you need in order to activate your own integration with Acronis in your own deployment of the interworks.cloud platform.
For more information concerning the Acronis credentials and the API management, you can download the following PDF file "Acronis_Management_Portal_Admin_Guide_en-US.pdf" and proceed to page #52, (section 7.3.3).

Activating the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Integration in BSS

For activating the automatic provisioning of the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud application, you should do the following:

  1. Navigate to BSS Setup > Administration > System Options > Applications Setup and select the settings for the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud

  2. Fill in the credentials form as indicated in the following screenshot:

    1. System Name: The preferred name of the application.
    2. Gateway URLThe URL varies depending on your geographical region and you will get it from Acronis along with your account credentials.
    3. Client Id: The provided Acronis Client ID.
    4. Client Secret: The provided Acronis Client Secret.
    5. Primary Currency: This drop-down menu is used to define the preferred instance currency from the available currencies that Acronis supports.
    6. Commitment Tier: This drop-down menu is used to define the tier that will be used for the MSP cost prices.
With this last setting, the MSPs are able to select the Tier to be either retrieved automatically from the Acronis portal (option: Tier from Acronisor select a specific Tier that will be used instead of the one that has been defined in the Acronis portal by default.
      • Tier from Acronis: This is the Acronis Commitment Tier that has been agreed upon between the MSP and the Distributor. Based on that Tier we are able to retrieve the cost prices of the products (SKUs) from the pricelist uploaded to our System.

      • All Other Acronis Commitment Tiers: If one of the Tiers below is selected, then the cost prices are retrieved based on that Tier regardless of the agreed Commitment Tier already defined in the Acronis portal.

        • Tier 0

        • Tier 1

        • Tier 2

        • Tier 3

        • Tier 4

        • Tier 5

        • Tier 6
        • Tier 7
        • Promo Tier

    7. Hybrid Storage Extra Charge: The value entered here allows the MSP to add an additional charge as a percentage of the price specified in the Acronis Pricelist.
  3. Save the form.

Activating more than one Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Instances

Our platform allows you to link your BSS with more than one Acronis distributor. This is the case if you are having more than one partner agreement with Acronis, for example, different agreements for different geographical areas.

For such scenarios, you will be able to link your BSS with your Acronis account by creating an instance for each account.

For this new instance, you should run the activation process described in the previous paragraph.

When you are having more than one Acronis instance, our system generates a different product type per instance. This means that your product manager should define a set of products that will be per instance.
