Strings for the Upcoming Release Note
The following Excel file contains the latest strings for translation, based on their tag_name, for the upcoming release note 3.28.63.
Allow your Tenant Resellers to Accept Annual Orders with Monthly Billing Plans
Purchases with Billing Plans (installments) can now be offered to the Tenant Resellers. Distributors can enable or disable the availability of Billing Plans (installments) to their Tenant Resellers using a single button from within the BSS platform. Once this option is enabled for a Tenant Reseller organization, both the reseller (via the BSS portal) and his customers will be able to place orders requesting monthly payments. By default, this option is disabled for all the Tenant Reseller organizations.
Please check the Billing Frequency for Tenant Resellers page for more information.
Price Protection Period can be Defined Per Billing Cycle and Currency
From this release, you can define different price protection periods for different billing cycles and currencies. The price protection period can differ per the billing cycle (for example, three months for the monthly subscriptions and twelve months for the annual) or even per currency you bill your customers (for example, customers paying in USD can enjoy price protection but customers paying in EUR can not).
During the price protection period, the customer will pay the same price for the service they have purchased, without being affected by pricing changes of the service.
Microsoft products come with price protection when the Get Services Definition process is run.
Please check the Setting a Pricing Protection Term for a Product page for more information.
Account Statement is now Available in Storefront
Your resellers and your customers can now have access to their account statements for having an analysis of their current balance. The account statement can be for a specific time period and can include either all transactions (debit invoices, credit invoices, payment, or refunds) or specific transaction types.
The account statement is available only if you have selected to publish your invoices to your Storefront (via the “View Invoices” option available in the Storefront Configuration setup section).
Please check the Viewing the Account Statement in the Storefront page for more information.
Billing of Back-ordered NCE Subscriptions
We have improved the billing mechanism for the back-ordered subscriptions created in your organization and now we fully apply the pricing rules we use for all NCE subscriptions. From now on, each time a Tenant Reseller places an order for one of their end-customers, the back-ordered subscription in your organization is billed correctly.
Block the Indexing of your Storefront Products from the Search Engines
In this release, we introduced the “No Index” flag for the URLs of your Storefront products. This flag essentially blocks the indexing of those Storefront product pages from the search engines. This is a useful feature, especially when you first set up or update your Storefront and you do not wish for certain product pages to be indexed by search engines since your pages may contain dummy or test products, descriptions, and images. After completing your Storefront setup or update, you can disable this option so that the indexing of the search engines can commence. This option can be enabled or disabled from the Storefront settings page of each product in BSS.
Please check the Publish to Storefront Basic Options page for more information.
Improvements on the NCE Migration Tool
Several improvements have been implemented with this release regarding the NCE Migration Tool. More specifically:
You can now migrate to NCE the legacy subscriptions your resellers have purchased for personal use.
Your resellers can now migrate to NCE the legacy subscriptions purchased for personal use.
The Instances field is hidden for the Basic and Standard Edition resellers.
Available Billing Frequency/Plan options are now locked to the specific billing cycle chosen by the user.
The NCE subscriptions are now billed using the NCE pricelist that has been assigned to the reseller or customer and not the one previously utilized by the legacy subscription.
Storefront users with the assigned role of Subscription Manager and above (admin, etc.) are now the only ones able to migrate legacy subscriptions to NCE from the Storefront.
Bundles are not supported by the NCE migration tool.
Please check the NCE Migration Tool for Existing Microsoft Subscriptions (NEW) page for more information.
Improvements on the Adobe VIP MP
Several improvements have been implemented with this release regarding the Adobe VIP MP orders and the Adobe VIP MP Migration Tool. More specifically:
Resellers logged into the Storefront will not be able to place an order if they are not synced with Adobe. An informative message is displayed to notify resellers that they are not synced and guides them to the Storefront page, where they can initiate the sync process with Adobe.
New end-customers of the Adobe resellers will be synced with Adobe during their order execution, since any volume discounts, that may apply to the order, are retrieved from Adobe automatically without the need to have the end-customer synced prior. This automatic volume discount retrieval and application to the total cost price of the order is based on the number of licenses of the Adobe order item and happens both in BSS and Storefront.
For the migration process, we now use only products created automatically from the “Get Services Definition” process and ignore any manually created Adobe products.
Please check the Ordering an Adobe Product page for more information.
Html Editor in BSS has been Enlarged
In the BSS platform, the pop-up window containing, among other tools, the HTML editor has been enlarged so that BSS users can configure with ease the HTML content.
