Cancellation Refund Policy per Product Type

With this release, BSS administrators can select how to refund canceled services. It is possible to offer refunds based on hours or days that the service was in use or to offer no refund. These three refund options are offered to every product type that is automatically created during the Get Services Definition process initiated via each service manager.

Please check the https://interworkscloud.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ICPD/pages/583499788 page for more information.

Refunds for NCE Product Cancellations are Calculated based on Hours

The newly established Cancellation Refund Policy is also applied to the product type of NCE products [Microsoft Online Services (New Commerce)], and since Microsoft chooses to provide refunds based on the hours that service was used, our system also enforces the hourly-based refund rule. As a result, every cancellation of NCE subscriptions from this release onwards will be conditioned to the above-mentioned Cancellation Refund Policy, from which refunds are solely based on the hours the service was used and not the days, which was the case in the past.

NCE Licenses Can Be Managed via Storefront Workspace

Now, resellers and end customers (users with the Cloud Administrator Role) have the capability to manage their users and their assigned NCE subscriptions licenses through their Storefront Workspace, exactly as is the case for Legacy Microsoft O365 users and licenses. More specifically, they can create, manage and monitor users, and NCE licenses. Consequently, Storefront users have a better overview of the usage of both Legacy and NCE O365 licenses without switching between platforms to execute user management tasks.

Please check the respective Microsoft O365 pages https://interworkscloud.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ICPD/pages/204111951 & https://interworkscloud.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ICPD/pages/204112143 for more information on managing your NCE users and licenses similarly.

Manual Configuration on All Currencies of ‘Perpetual Licenses’ Conversion Rates

With this release, BSS users can now manually set conversion rates for all the available currencies in their organization, per instance, via the existing tool named “Perpetual Licenses Currency Selection & Conversion”. By manually setting a conversion rate between two or more currencies via the aforementioned tool, the automatically retrieved conversion rates of Microsoft-supported currencies are stopped in favor of the manual setup. Thus, when a Perpetual License product has both conversion rates available, be that the automatic or the manual, the final price will be calculated with the manually provided conversion rate.

“Basic Sell Price” Field Available for Offer Reports & Notifications

The merge field named Basic Sell Price with tag {#OfferLines.BasicSalesPrice#}, is available in the Offers module with this release. It displays the default price (i.e. the retail price) of a product for the unit of the offered item. If you offer a monthly product, this field will be the monthly retail price of the product. But if you offer an annual product, this field will be the annual retail price of the product.

  • For Reports: The BSS user can select from the first step of the new report creation the Offers module and also check the Offer Products checkbox. Then, in the second step of the report, the Basic Sell Price field will be available at least once, depending on the number of available organization currencies.

  • For Notifications: The BSS user needs to select from the Templates (Merge Fields) the Offer Products option, and on the second-in-line drop-down menu, select the Basic Sell Price. Again this option can be available more than once since more currencies might be available to choose from.

In case two or more Basic Sell Price fields appear, it means that at least two or more currencies are available for depicting this retail basic sell price, each under a different currency that is based on automatic currency conversion.

Visual Numeric Improvement in Storefront

Numeric product characteristics in Storefront, such as Gigabytes and IOPS for servers, now contain the thousands separator.
