New Commerce Experience Promotion Details are Available in Subscriptions

On the 10th of January 2022, Microsoft launched the promotions for the annual and monthly term New Commerce Experience products and add-ons (products). Microsoft supports the new commerce promotions that are applied as a percentage discount on a given NCE subscription.

For this first version of promotions support in our systems, when purchasing a new NCE subscription, the subscription gets created with the non-promotional pricing of the respective NCE product, meaning that the promotion price is not yet imposed on the NCE subscription on our systems automatically.
For overcoming the pricing discrepancy between Microsoft and our systems, the user can view on BSS four custom fields containing promotion details and then opt to manually edit the pricing of the respective NCE subscription based on that information.

Automatically applying the promotion discount to a new NCE subscription is a work in progress, and it has been scheduled to be delivered within February.

Price Protection for New Commerce Experience Subscriptions

One of the most important features concerning the New Commerce Experience subscriptions is the Price Protection, according to the customer’s commitment that derives from the subscription term (monthly, annual, triennial). We are pleased to inform you that from this release onwards, all the NCE subscriptions are created under price protection till the end of their billing cycle.

Define the Available Licenses for a Trial Subscription

You can now define how many licenses you will give your customers for each trial. We have introduced the quantity trial option for the product managers to define the number of licenses available to the customer during the trial period. The available licenses are active during the trial period. The customers can choose how many they wish to keep (either more or less from the trial licenses) when they upgrade their trial subscriptions to paid ones.

Update of Automatic Renewals of Subscriptions

The method for activating or deactivating the automatic renewal of a subscription is now handled from one dynamic toggle button, located under the Shortcuts menu of each subscription, which appears depending on the status of the subscription.

Update of Reprovisioning of Subscriptions

The method for reprovisioning a subscription has changed. Once a BSS user initiates the edit & save process to force the reprovisioning of a subscription, our system will check whether the editing of the subscription has affected provisionable fields or not, and accordingly trigger the reprovisioning or not.
