2022 Release Notes
3.28.79 Release
Backordering Process for Subscriptions with External Pricing (NCE products)
We improved how we calculate the prices for subscriptions created or managed in a Tenant reseller and pushed them back to the Root Organization via the Backordering process. For products using the external pricing mechanism, we now identify the vendor’s cost and sell prices when the subscription is created in the Tenant reseller. We then push these prices back to the Root organization instead of re-calculating again in the Root organization. We decided to follow this approach for:
Eliminating the price discrepancies between the two organizations if the external pricing mechanism fails in the root organization.
Improving the performance of our platform by decreasing the API calls we send to Microsoft.
3.28.78 Release
Automatic Pricing for Microsoft Software Subscriptions
From this release, we fully support all Software Subscriptions pricing rules introduced by Microsoft:
Automatic Upload of Software Subscription Products Prices: The existing integration of Software Subscriptions now supports the automatic retrieval and assignment of prices to Software Subscription products, without the need for manual price import.
Prices are calculated automatically based on the end customer’s country and currency: Software Subscription product prices during the creation of an order are displayed with their maximum value but before the execution of the order, the correct prices are displayed for the selected end customer.
Conversion Tool for Unsupported Microsoft Currencies: For currencies that are not officially supported by Microsoft we offer a user-friendly currency conversion tool in which foreign exchange rates can be created and stored so as to support those currencies while reselling Software Subscription products.
The new version of the Software Subscriptions is also available to both country and tenant resellers.
3.28.77 Release
Set Extra Charge for NCE subscriptions with Billing Plans (Installments)
With this release, CSPs can utilize a new pricing scheme of interworks.cloud called Billing Plans Extra Charge. This new pricing scheme allows CSPs to set an Extra Charge (markup percentage) to the unit price of subscriptions that will be purchased with Billing Plans (monthly installments) by the specific customer. Thus, If a BSS account has a Billing Plan Extra Charge defined, then a subscription with a Billing Plan will have that uplift percentage applied to its unit price, and therefore it will be more expensive than a similar subscription without a Billing Plan.
With this Extra Charge Billing scheme, CSPs can:
Provide to their customers services and subscriptions with the flexibility of installments while reducing the risks that might derive from idle payments of those installment plans in the future.
Enjoy the extra profit from each purchased subscription that has a Billing Plan with a defined Extra Charge.
3.28.76 Release
Support of the New Disabled Microsoft NCE Subscription Status
After Microsoft introduced on October 26, 2022, a new subscription status called Disabled in the Microsoft Partner Center for the new commerce experience license-based subscriptions, our systems also support this new status under the existing BSS status called Inactive.
