The integration focuses on:

• Simplifying the registration process of new CSPs. You will be able to sign up new Acronis CSPs under your distribution channel with minimum monthly commitment and through your own branded marketplace.

• Streamlining the management and monitoring of monthly commitment tiers. Your Service Providers will be able to monitor the consumption for each of their customers from your Marketplace.

• Efficiently handling CSP pay-per-use billing. Your Service Providers will know exactly what the pay for the services their customers consume. The monthly generated invoice will be analytical in order to accommodate the pay-as-you-go charges in relation to the Service Provider’s commitment level.

What is Included in the 1st version?

• The registration process for new Acronis CSPs. Your resellers will be able to register by selecting the tier they wish to commit.

• Ability to define your own billing policy per reseller. As an Acronis Cloud Distributor, you can either invoice your CSP using Acronis suggested prices or you can overwrite them and define your own rules.

• Billing of the CSP contracts. Your Acronis CSPs will receive a monthly invoice with all the services their customers consumed.

What’s next?

• Your CSPs will be able to see the current consumption for each of their customers from your Marketplace.

• Trial accounts for your new CSPs.

• Your CSPs will be able to change commitment tier.

VAT Charges for Customers Located in European Union

In this release, we covered the last gaps we had for fully supporting VAT charges for cross-border transactions between European Union.

• A customer from an EU country, having a valid VAT (according to V.I.E.S result), purchases from the Storefront of the same EU country: In this case, the taxes are always applied 

• A customer from an EU country, having an invalid VAT (according to V.I.E.S result), purchases from the Storefront of another EU country: In this case, the taxes are always applied 

• A customer from an EU country, having a valid VAT (according to V.I.E.S result), purchases from the Storefront of another EU country: In this case, taxes are excluded.

The synopsis of the validation rules is that if the checkbox “Exclude this tax for EU customers with valid VAT number“ is enabled and the EU customer purchases a service from the Storefront of another EU country, his VAT must be valid (according to V.I.E.S.), in order for the tax to be excluded from that purchase. In any other case, the tax will be applied.
