Adobe Administration Tool

On this page, you can find all the relevant explanations and functional details of the Adobe Administration Tool.

The Adobe Administration Tool can be used to look up detailed information on Adobe orders and subscriptions for a specific account, as well as detailed logs showing the communication history between BSS or Storefront and Adobe for a specific Adobe Id.

Locating the Adobe Administration Tool

The tool can be accessed by going to Setup Tools Service Manager Tools.

To open the tool, select an instance from the drop-down list as shown in the figure below:

Image 1: Instance selection

When the instance has been selected, select Go To Application to open the Adobe Administration Tool.

The tool has two sections, Customer Search and Logs Search.

Customer Search

The Customer Search section shows all the accounts, with their Adobe Id, their Name and Status.

The three dots on the right open the Actions menu, which allows you the following actions:

  1. Show Orders

  2. Show Subscriptions

  3. Manage Market Segment

  4. Manage Adobe Contact

The Show Orders option displays detailed order information from the current term, sorted in reverse chronological order:

The Show Subscriptions option displays detailed subscription information.

The Manage Market Segment option allows you to update your customer’s market segment (COM, EDU, GOV).

Caution: Changing or removing a reseller’s market segment may cause order or renewal failures on existing subscriptions.

Finally, when you click the Manage Adobe Contact option, a new pop-up window allows you to review and, if needed, update your customer's contact details (email address and phone number). After you click on Send Details, we will automatically share the contact information with Adobe. Adobe will then use this information to resend the Welcome email to the selected customer.

This action is particularly useful in cases when the customer changes their email address.

Regardless of whether you make any changes in the contact details, once you click Send Details, the contact information will be shared with Adobe and trigger the resend of the Adobe Welcome email.

Logs Search

In the Logs Search section, the user can view the communication history between BSS or Storefront and Adobe for a specific customer by searching for an Adobe Customer Id.

The Adobe Customer ID can be found in the BSS Account Sync Options.

Alternatively, it can be found in the Adobe Id column of Customer Search page of the administration tool

The logs are displayed in reverse chronological order and searching may take a few seconds.

Select the Actions ellipsis (…) in the Logs Search page and select Show Properties to view the properties of a specific log.

The properties shown includes the Request Id, Correlation Id, Request Method, URL, Request Body and Response.
