Cancellations submitted by your Customers - Non-Automatic Flow
In the Storefront, your customers have two options available for canceling a subscription and/or an add-on.
Immediate non-automatic cancellation. This cancellation option is essentially the immediate cancellation execution of a subscription and/or an add-on if the cancellation is configured for non-automatic execution.
“End of the current Billing Period“ non-automatic cancellation. This cancellation option is essentially a form of a scheduled cancellation that will be actualized at the end of the current billing period of either a subscription, an add-on, or both if the cancellation is configured for non-automatic execution.
This page will explain how your customers can cancel subscriptions and add-ons when you don’t allow automatic cancellation for the subscription.
Cancellation Request for Subscription Licenses
In the Storefront, a customer can cancel a subscription either via the “…” action button from the Subscriptions List view page or via the Subscription’s view page from the “I Want To…” button.
By clicking on any of the aforementioned buttons, the cancellation pop-up appears.
In this cancellation request pop-up, your customers can choose either the Immediate or the End of Billing Period execution type option. Also, your customers have the option to partially cancel a number of their subscription licenses or all, and this option applies to both execution types.
Either way, our system will display the cancellation confirmation pop-up window, which states that the cancellation request has been submitted. This means that the subscription’s cancellation will not be executed automatically; rather a BSS user must approve it first.
After your customer has submitted the subscription cancellation request, you can manage this request via BSS. For more information, please proceed to the “Receiving Cancellation Requests“ page and to the Managing Cancellation Requests page.
Cancellation Request for Add-on Licenses
Your customer can cancel add-on licenses either via the “…” action button from the Subscriptions List view page or via the Subscription’s view page from the “I Want To…” button.
By clicking on any of the aforementioned buttons, the cancellation pop-up appears.
In this cancellation request pop-up, your customers can choose either the Immediate or the End of Billing Period execution type option. Also, your customers have the option to partially cancel a number of their add-on licenses or all, and this option applies to both execution types.
Either way, our system will display the cancellation confirmation pop-up window, which states that the cancellation request has been submitted. This means that the add-ons' cancellation will not be executed automatically; rather a BSS user must approve it first.
After your customer has submitted the subscription cancellation request, you can manage this request via BSS. For more information, please proceed to the “Receiving Cancellation Requests“ page and to the Managing Cancellation Requests page.
Viewing Pending Cancellations in Storefront
In the Storefront, the pending subscription and add-on cancellation requests can be viewed in two ways.
1. To view the pending subscription cancellations, you need to navigate to Billing > Subscriptions > Active Subscriptions. By locating the subscription that you have submitted the cancellation request, next to its status, a blue information bubble appears which, upon hovering over it, you can witness that the information message writes “Cancellation Requested“.
2. To view the pending cancellations for both subscriptions and their add-ons, you need to navigate to the Subscription’s view page, where the “Pending Requests” section becomes available immediately after a subscription or an add-on’s cancellation request is created.
In this section, the pending cancellation request contains all the relevant information regarding the cancellation submission, such as the date of the submission, the actual request, the execution type, and the action button “Cancel“. This button is analyzed on the following section of this page.
Cancelling Pending Requests
In the Subscription's view page, when the “Pending Requests“ section is available, and either a subscription or an add-on is displayed, you can find next to it the “Cancel” action button, which essentially cancels the pending cancelation request. However, you need to know that the cancellation button remains available only if the BSS user has not accepted or rejected the customer’s cancellation request.
