After creating a bundle product, defining its complementary sub-products along with their pricing, and publishing the bundle to the Storefront, an account manager can now order it also via our BSS platform. The following analysis of ordering a bundle product via BSS is quite the same process as ordering a subscription-based product.
Ordering from Cloud BSS
An account manager can purchase a Bundle product on behalf of his customers by placing an order for a Bundle product in Cloud BSS, as per the following example.
Upon creation of the order, the account manager must save the order.
Ιf the bundle has sub-products that are either configurable or with order-characteristics, after the new order creation and submission, the account manager lands on the page of the newly created order, and from there, he can click on the Products tab and then on the edit icon so as to configure the configurable sub-products (marked with red color and an exclamation mark) via the pop-up window that appears in which the account manager can set the values for the properties of those sub-products.
In the event that an add-on of a configurable sub-product is present, then the add-on's characteristics will also appear as information inside the same pop-up window, exactly beneath the configuration options of the sub-product.
After the configuration of the sub-products' properties, the account manager must save the changes by clicking on the corresponding button at the bottom of the pop-up window. Once the saving step occurs, the pricing of the sub-products changes according to the configured options, as depicted by the following screenshot.
Upon saving the order (and configuring any configurable sub-products), the account manager must execute the order for the system to:
- Create the Bundle product subscription in BSS as well as provision all the sub-products' and sub-add-ons' services that the Bundle contains, in the form of sub-subscriptions.
