Cancelling an Azure Plan

 

This page describes how your customers or your operations team can cancel or suspend an Azure plan subscription. 

Define the Execution Process for Customers' Cancellation Requests


When your customers or resellers cancel an Azure plan you can define whether the system will execute the request automatically, or it will create a cancellation request for you to review it.

This option is on the details of the “Azure plan” product type. Navigate to BSS > Setup > Products > Product Types and locate the Azure plan product type.

If you check the above option the system will try to cancel the Azure plan when the customer requests it. Otherwise, it will create a cancellation request for you yo review it.

Cancelling an Azure Plan from the Storefront


Your customers or resellers can cancel an Azure plan from the “Cancel the Subscription” action that is available on the Azure plan details page.

Automatic execution is enabled

If you have enabled the automatic execution of the cancellation request, our system will try to suspend the Azure plan on Microsoft systems. But if there is at least one entitlement that is still active, your customer will receive a message that the cancellation cannot be completed. In this case, your customer should suspend first all entitlements from the Azure portal before trying to cancel the subscription from your Storefront.

 

Automatic execution is disabled

If you haven’t enabled the automatic execution, the customer will receive a message that his cancellation request has been submitted for review.

Cancelling an Azure Plan from the BSS


Your operations team can cancel an Azure plan from the Cancel action that is available on the Azure plan details page.

if there is at least one entitlement that is still active, the BSS user will receive a message that the cancellation cannot be completed.

Reviewing a Cancellation Request Submitted by the Customer

Cancellation requests submitted by your customers can be accepted or rejected from the request ribbon the represents the request in Azure plan details page in BSS.

If you accept the request, the cancellation will be completed only if there isn’t any active entitlement in Azure portal.
