7. Special Prices
This page contains information on special prices for the Standard Reseller edition. Instructions for setting, viewing and managing special prices can be found here.
Standard Edition Resellers can now assign special prices to selected products for specific customers. Special prices can be set for listed products, either with a specified markup percentage, or the distributor’s suggested retail price.
Assigning Special Prices
To assign a special price for a customer, navigate to the Customers view and from the Actions button, select Add Special Price.
In the popup, search for and select a product:
When you have selected a product, you may either:
Apply a markup percentage to the purchase price by specifying the percentage in the field
Set the distributor’s suggested retail price as the special price
The distributor’s retail price is the sell price of the product as specified in the BSS without any pricelist, promotion or volume discounts.
Special prices cannot be assigned to products for which the reseller has not set the initial pricing method. For more information, please see: 5. Managing Product Catalog

Purchase Price – The price of the product as set in the reseller’s price list, for the corresponding units
Retail Price – The product price as set in the Listed Products

If the product is Published, the Special Price will be displayed in the storefront when the user confirms the options set in the popup. Otherwise, the Special Price will be updated with the Publish Catalogue Actions.
