2. Standard Edition Storefront - General Settings

Resellers can easily adjust the General Settings of their Storefront according to their preference in terms of company name, URL, language etc., before proceeding to the customization of their brand identity.

In the Storefront Settings section, as a reseller, you can adjust the general settings of the Storefront, such as the company name, the Storefront URL, and Google Analytics.

This section provides an overview and description of these settings.

Adjusting General Settings

A Standard Edition reseller can only access and modify their Storefront settings after they receive their initial Storefront URL (and credentials, if not previously received) from their distributor. Once received, the user must take the following steps:

  1. Log in to the new Storefront using the aforementioned credentials.

  2. Hover over the Settings icon at the left-hand-side panel of the main menu and select Storefront Settings.

  3. Note the two main tabs:

    1. General Settings: adjust the general settings of the Storefront, such as company name, Storefront URL, and Google Analytics.

    2. Customize Settings: customize the look and feel (rebranding), by selecting the skin (color theme) and setting up the structure of the homepage (sections, images, banners)

  4. In the General Settings tab, fill in the following fields:

    • Company Name (mandatory field): the Storefront browser tab title. This field allows multilingual, special, and alphanumeric characters.

    • Storefront URL, as generated by the distributor’s BSS. Here, the Standard Edition reseller can provide a custom URL if they own one. Please note, however, that if a custom URL is provided, the reseller must contact their domain administrator to be able to activate it. This requires installing the SSL certificate for the URL, configuring SSL bindings, changing the A record for the domain on the infrastructure or web server IP address, etc.

    • Google Universal Analytics: enter the reseller’s URL. Google Analytics defines how users interact with the reseller’s website.

    • Default Language: set the default language for the Storefront.

    • Default Date Format: set the default format in which the Storefront will display the date.

  5. The new Storefront of the Standard Edition Reseller provides the option for anonymous access, i.e. the possibility to allow unregistered users to view the Reseller’s product catalog with, or without the product prices, depending on the settings specified in this section. Specifically:

    • Enable Anonymous Access to allow users to browse the product catalog on your Storefront anonymously, without logging in. If this option is disabled, users will be prompted to log in.

    • Enable Show Prices to allow users to also view product prices in the catalog without logging in. If this option is disabled, users will be able to view the catalog without the prices. The prices will only be displayed for users who have logged in. The prices will be displayed in the reseller’s base currency, which is defined in the BSS.

When users browse the Storefront anonymously, the default language and date format specified in the General Settings applies.

  6. In the self-registration section, you can set the options relating to the ability of customers to create accounts in the Storefront.

    • To allow visitors to register as a new customer, enable Self-Registration. This works as an alternative to adding customers manually.

    • Enable Self-Registration Approval to manually approve self-registration requests. Requests which are not approved will not register the user as a new customer.

  7. When all the changes have been made, select Publish in the top right corner of the page to apply them.
