11. Standard Edition - Self-Registration for Storefront Users

Resellers can allow end-customers to easily register on the Storefront. Account creation and activation is a common and easy-to-follow procedure.

For end-customers to be able to create an account on your Storefront, you must first enable the Self-Registration in the Storefront settings.

Self-Registration Approval Not Required

If self-registration approval is disabled in the Storefront settings, you will not have to take any actions for the end user's account to be created.

The end customer can create an account by selecting Register either on the log-in page or on the Storefront homepage if Anonymous Access is enabled.

To set up their account, the end customer must enter their contact details and select Register to confirm.

The following message prompts the end customer to check their inbox (and, in some cases, their spam/junk folder):

An e-mail notification has been sent to the e-mail address specified in the contact details. Selecting Activate account completes the process. This notification is titled “Standard Reseller Storefront account activation”.

The following message confirms the successful activation of the account. Selecting Login Now takes the end customer to the login page:

Self-Registration With Approval

In Storefront settings, enabling self-registration approval allows you to view and be notified of any new registration requests which you can approve or reject. The end customer’s account will not be created unless you approve their registration request.

Following step 2 of the previous scenario:

After the end customer enters their contact details and selects Register, the following message is shown:

Following this step, you will receive an e-mail informing you of a registration request. This notification is titled Standard Reseller Storefront User Pending Request.

Alternatively, at this point, you may locate the request from the dashboard. Select the customer name to approve or reject the request.

Select Approve to create the end customer’s account, or Reject to reject their registration request and delete their information.

Approving the account creation request requires confirmation. Select OK to approve the request and create the account.

Selecting OK will send the end-customer an activation e-mail. This notification is titled “Standard Reseller Storefront account activation”.

Rejecting the account creation also requires confirmation. Please note that this deletes the account as well as all the end customer’s data:

Rejecting the account creation request results in an email which informs them that their request has not been approved. This notification is titled Standard Reseller Self-Registered Customer Rejection.
