Canceling BitTitan Assets
Cancelation of a asset is feasible, but it is limited to a total of 15 days after the purchase date since a full refund is only available when the cancelation is executed within that period of time.
On this page, we explain the three main cancelation options provided for a Bittitan asset and how you or your customers can utilize them.
Bittitan assets may be returned within 15 days of purchase for a full refund, while partial returns are not allowed, and beyond the 15 days, no returns or exchanges are allowed. The following conditions apply during the cancellation of a Bittitan asset.
It’s been over 24 hours since the original purchase.
It’s been less than 15 days since the original date of purchase. The order will be credited back with 100% credit, and the licenses will be deactivated.
You used a credit card for the purchase.
You haven’t consumed the licenses on a project or assigned and performed services with the assets.
Partial returns are not allowed, and beyond the 15 days, no returns or exchanges are allowed.
Bittitan does not charge an early termination fee.
Exchanges do not apply.
Canceling a Bittitan Asset via Storefront
For asset product types, the option "Automatic execution of subscription cancelation requests" is disabled by default. As a result, a cancelation request is always created on BSS for an asset when the Storefront user selects to cancel the asset and receive a refund. Moreover, since no partial cancelation is supported by Bittitan, our BSS platform also does not support it.
If the Storefront user can cancel the asset, then the pop-up window appears upon selecting to cancel such an asset:
When the user opts to cancel an asset on the Storefront, the following disclaimer message appears upon canceling a license on the Storefront:
Once the Storefront user selects to cancel the asset, a notification is being sent to the BSS platform about the pending cancelation request.
Canceling a Bittitan Asset via BSS
The same logic applies to the BSS when canceling an asset. The "Cancel" action button on BSS is displayed on the asset’s Shortcuts' menu when that asset is active and synchronized.
When opting to cancel an asset via BSS, the asset cancelation pop-up appears where the cancelation type will be by default "Immediate", since the cancelation day can only be the current day, in order to avoid provisioning issues.
When a cancelation request has been submitted via Storefront, upon returning to BSS, a cancelation request has been created for the asset and is displayed as a ribbon on the asset view page with the correct cancelation request date.
Once the cancelation request is submitted by either BSS or Storefront, a call to Bittitan is being made. If the asset is canceled successfully, the Asset's Status will become "Canceled" and a credit invoice will be automatically created by the system containing the asset’s amount that will be refunded to the customer.
However, if the cancelation request is submitted and the Bittitan’s response is "cannot be canceled", another pop-up appears, stating, "Delete failed: Error: AlreadyRedeemed". This means that the asset remains active, but its provisioning sync status turns into failed with the above message given as the reason. Moreover, no credit invoice is generated or generally created for this cancellation action, since it was not completed successfully.
In any case, by clicking either on the "View Request" ribbon (Storefront request) or by clicking on the "Cancel" custom action from the Asset’s view page Shortcuts' menu in BSS, the Request for cancelation pop up is displayed.
Your options are either to cancel the asset by clicking on the respective button or ignore the request by also clicking the respective button.
