Backordering Process for Subscriptions with External Pricing (NCE products)
We improved how we calculate the prices for subscriptions created or managed in a Tenant reseller and pushed back to the Root Organization via the Backordering process. For products using the external pricing mechanism, we now identify the vendor’s cost and sell prices when the subscription is created in the Tenant reseller and we push these prices back to the Root organization, instead of re-calcalculating again in the Root organization. We decided to follow this approach for:
Eliminating the prices discrepancies between the two organizations in case the external pricing mechanism fails in the root organization.
Improving the performance of our platform by decreasing the API calls we send to Microsoft.
Manual Configuration on All Currencies of ‘Software Subscription’ Conversion Rates
With the introduction of the automatic pricing of Software subscriptions, BSS users can now manually set conversion rates for all the available currencies in their organization, per instance, via the existing tool named Software Subscriptions Currency Selection & Conversion. By manually setting a conversion rate between two or more currencies via the aforementioned tool, the automatically retrieved conversion rates of Microsoft-supported currencies are stopped in favor of the manual setup. Thus, when a Software Subscription product has both conversion rates available, be that the automatic or the manual, the final price will be calculated with the manually provided conversion rate.
