Introduction
This article will try to explain what a distribution list is, following by the usage explanation.
What is a Distribution List?
A distribution list, is a collection of email addresses that allows a user (internal or external) to email multiple accounts at once. A distribution list can contain a few addresses, or many.
Example of a Distribution List
Distribution List: it.department@yourcompany.com
Mailboxes in this list: kostas@yourcompany.com , panagiotis@yourcompany.com, mary@yourcompany.com, externalmail@gmail.com
Having this distribution list created when an external or internal user sent an message to it.department@yourcompany.com , the email will be delivered to each one of the mailboxes in the it.department distribution list.
How to Create \ Modify a Distribution List?
STEP 1. Click on from the left column menu.
STEP 2. Then click on Create New Distribution List.
STEP 3. Fill the fields that will characterize the new Distribution List and click on Create Distribution List.

STEP 4. Modify the new Distribution List.
- Add new members to Distribution List
- To deleteone or more members, tik the radio buttons before the Display name(s) and then click
- To hide the distribution list from the domain address book tikHide from Address Book, so only those who get knowledge of the full email address could send emails to the List.
- The Mail Flow Settings and Permissions tabs provide exactly the functionality as the same tabs inside a mailbox account! Check Email Forwarding in How to create/configure a mailbox.
