Contacts

Introduction

The Contact function has two different purposes of existence :

  1. To share a list of contacts within the organization.
  2. To restrict the exchange of the emails  from/to the organizations accounts. 


Share a Contact List: 

Most of the time, there are some email addresses  that every member of an organization needs to know. Contacts created in Contacts section will be synchronized with all the mailbox of the domain!

Restrict or manage the email communication

Some times an administrator needs to keep the email flow under sever control. This kind of control could be one of the following role:

  1. Receive emails only from certain contacts.
  2. Sent emails only to certain contacts.
  3. Receive and Sent emails only to certain contacts.


How to create a Contact 

To add a contact to your domain contact List just click on  

Type a proper display name and the email address of the contact... and then just click to 

Fill  the contact with more details (not a mandatory step).

Useful Tip

Setting up all those account details properly will provide an contact list, full of information to those who will link their smart devices with their Microsoft Exchange account!


The inserted contacts will be appeared from now on in Contacts section and they are ready for further management.   



Contact Management


Navigate to Contacts section, by clicking on  from the left column menu.


Remove a contact 

To delete\remove a contact from the Contact List simply click on the  at the end of the contact row. 


Modify a Contact

To modify a Contact click upon the display name, add/remove/edit any of the contact details and then click on 


Restrict or Manage the email communication

A administrator some times needs to forward mailboxes or restrict the mail communication from/to certain emails.

Mail forwarding to external email 

To enable forwarding to an external email (email address out of the domain) the administrator ought to create a contact with the external email address before enable the forwarding process from the Mail Flow Settings.


Restriction in mail communication

The domain administrator is able to restrict the sending and/or receiving email process from or to the addresses created under the Contacts section. Check the Accept \ Reject Messages From.
