Ordering Microsoft Dynamics Plans

A customer can have multiple Microsoft Dynamics instances for accommodating his need for different environments like staging, testing, and production environments. For supporting this scenario, you must:

  1. Configure the system to create a new Dynamics subscription in the Partner Center every time a new order is placed
  2. Instruct your customers to purchase extra licenses for an existing instance from the subscription details page

Allow your Customers to Purchase Multiple Dynamics Plans


Every time your customer places a new order for a Dynamics plan, the system must create a new subscription in the partner center. For accomplishing this, the following configuration must be applied to Microsoft Dynamics product type:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Billing > Products > Product Types and load the Microsoft Dynamics product type
  2. Allow the customer to define during the initial order how many licenses he wants. For doing this, the option "quantity limit" must be set to unlimited
  3. Instruct the system to create a new subscription for every new order. For doing this, the option "Maintain one active subscription per product" must be unchecked

Buying a New Microsoft Dynamics Instance


Your customer can buy a new Microsoft Dynamics plan by following the usual ordering process described in the page "Ordering for a new Customer". This process will create a new subscription in Cloud BSS and it will provision a new subscription in Microsoft Partner Center.

Buying Extra Licenses for an Existing Instance


A customer can purchase extra licenses for an existing Dynamics instance from the subscription details page by selecting the "Buy" action in the "I want to..." menu. This action will increase the quantity of the subscription in both Cloud BSS and Microsoft Partner Center.
