In cases where Kaspersky Labs allocate a different PIN for a transacting Reseller, the system has a tool that undertakes to change the PIN on the Reseller 'Sync Options'. The tool is called "Kaspersky administration" and is located under the  BSS tools section.

Using The Tool


  1. In order to access the tool, navigate to BSS Setup > Tools > Kaspersky Administrator
  2. FIll in the respective fields. The available options are: 
    1. Kaspersky Instance: The Kaspersky instance under which the Reseller is synchronized
    2. AccountID: The internal account ID for the Reseller (can be found by loading the Reseller on Office >Accounts on the browser address bar!).
    3. Reseller PIN: The new Reseller PIN

Click Update


Errors:

  • API call failure during the update, the Reseller PIN of a subscription will be different(sync options and getdetails view) and an error indicating the failed subscriptions will be displayed. BSS admin should communicate with Kaspersky for the update of failed subscriptions.
  • Invalid Reseller's PIN,  we should identify the "Invalid Reseller PIN" error from Kaspersky API call response and stop the process. The BSS sync options will not change and the update will not be completed. Error message should be "Please provide a valid Reseller PIN".
  • Network issues, procedure will be aborted and an error message "Please try again or contact with your system administrator" should be displayed.
