interworks.cloud platform offers a straightforward facility to configure the PayPal payment gateway. After registering to PayPal you can proceed to setting up a test environment for checking the process and learning how to work with it. Then, just as easily, you can proceed with switching to "Live Mode" and getting ready to accept payments from your customers. |
Acquire API Credentials from PayPal
Before you activate the integration with PayPal in your BSS, you need to get the API Credentials for your PayPal merchant account. In order to do that please follow these steps :
- Visit www.paypal.com and log in at your PayPal merchant account.
- Go to your Profile Settings at the top of the page.
Image Added - Go to Account & Security → Account access → API access → Update.
Image Added - Select Manage API Credentials from NVP/SOAP API Integration (classic).
Image Added - Select the Signature option and click the button "Agree and Submit". BSS uses the "signature" way to communicate with your PayPal account, not the "certificate".
Image Added - On the next page, you should be looking at the newly created API Credentials of your PayPal account. This is sensitive information so please try not to share it.
Image Added - Now that we have the API Credentials we can move on to setting up the Payment Gateway in the BSS platform.
