Ordering & Managing Dropbox & Dropbox Sign Products from the BSS

A reseller can also purchase a Dropbox plan on behalf of his end customers by placing an order directly on BSS. The ordering process is exactly the same as for the rest of cloud applications.

Upon creation of the order, the reseller must execute the order, and:

  1. A new subscription will be created in our BSS as well as in the Dropbox Business Account of the end-customer.

  2. The Dropbox plan will be provisioned.

  3. Also, the licenses purchased will be assigned to the respective Dropbox Partner Portal account.
    If this is the first order your reseller placed of a Dropbox product, the end-customer will receive a welcome email from Dropbox containing their email as username, and a link, along with the corresponding instructions, which redirects the end-customer to the Dropbox Business Account "Password Creation" page to set up a password and then sign in to the Account with their credentials

Dropbox Team Name

The end-customer's BSS account name is used as a Dropbox team name by default. In situations where the BSS account name is longer than 20 characters, it will be trimmed to fit.

Ordering Products with Monthly Installments

When ordering Annual Commitment - Monthly Billed products, please make sure to select Monthly under Billing Plan. The One-time payment option is not supported for these products.

The resulting subscription contains the Billing Plan laid out as follows:

 

If the Billing Plan is Monthly, it means that the subscription is purchased with installments, whereas when the Billing Plan is empty, it means that the subscription is purchased with a one-off charge.
Next to the Billing Plan value, a magnifying glass icon () displays the Installment Plan summary tooltip with the following information:

  • Installments - The total number of installments of the current installment plan.

  • Invoiced The number of installments that have been invoiced for that plan.

  • Excluded - This field appears only when there are installments that are disregarded by our system since they have not been invoiced by BSS. If there are no disregarded installments, then the field is hidden.

  • Remaining - The number of installments that remain to be invoiced for that plan.

  • Next Invoice Date - The date that the upcoming invoice will be generated.

  • Next Invoice Amount - The amount of the next invoice.

Ordering Annual Commitment Billed Annually Products

Annual Commitment, Annually Billed Products have an annual billing cycle and billing plan. They can only be purchased with a one-off charge.
