Release 3.28.115 & Updating the Dropbox Product Catalog

Release 3.28.115 introduces the new Dropbox Advanced Edition SKUs which replace the existing ones, as well as new Replay SKUs, which replace the existing Creative Tools SKUs.

The new additions and replacements require the update of the related BSS combinations and products, and the deactivation of the deprecated products.

Updating Existing Instances

All the existing Dropbox Advanced Edition products will be replaced with Dropbox Advanced Edition 5TB/license products. Additionally, three new add-ons will be created and assigned to the corresponding base products in the interworks.cloud Platform by running Get Services Definition after upgrading to the latest Service Manager version.

Select the Continuously Update Names option for existing instances:

Bulk Deactivation of Deprecated Products

The existing Advanced Server products (including add-ons) will be deprecated and must be deactivated manually. For new instances, the Advanced Server products & add-ons will not be created by running Get Services Definition.

For existing instances, these products will not be automatically deactivated by running Get Services Definition since they have been removed them from the GSD product list. For this reason, customers must deactivate them on their end. To do so, they can filter these products and deactivate them in bulk.

The Creative Tools SKUs will also be deprecated, and new Replay SKUs will replace them, only for Standard & Advanced Editions.

The 18 new Drobox Standard Edition Replay products will be created, however, the user must deactivate the deprecated Creative Tools products.

Please note that the Education products which include Creative Tools combinations will not be replaced, since they will no longer be supported.

New Dropbox Products

The new Advanced Edition 5TB/license products will be mutually exclusive. Their subscriptions can be monthly, annual or annual with monthly installments (AC1M). The Dropbox 1 TB Add-On - Billed with Monthly installments (AC1M) add-on will have an annual unit group since we do not support installments for add-ons yet. The new Replay SKU will replace the Creative Tools SKU, and 18 new Dropbox products, which include the new SKU, will be created after running Get Services Definition.

Purchasing via BSS & Storefront

The new add-ons for new advanced edition subscriptions feature additional storage in TB, and there is no quantity dependency between the base subscription and the add-on. There is only a TB cap limitation per team of (1000TB). This means that the team’s total storage (including the base subscription quantity) cannot exceed this limitation.

For example, a user purchases 10 licenses of a Dropbox Advanced Edition 5TB/license product.

The base subscription storage is 10 x 5TB/license = 50TB.

In this case, if the user would like to purchase additional storage for the existing licenses, there are 950TB left (1000 - 50).

Please note that if the user buys extra licenses, the remaining TB left for additional storage will be calculated accordingly.
