  • Migration of existing data in interworks.cloud Platform Database to be encrypted with AES 256 algorithm

Backup your Database before Upgrading to 3.28.0!

The migration process of existing data is a very sensitive process and should not be stopped/broken for any reason. Any issue during migration process could cause loss of data and completely destroy your database. For that reason it is very important to carefully collect a database backup from your installation prior executing upgrading process.

Generation of security keys is performed during upgrade of Administration component. After Administration component upgrade is completed, the new generated keys are stored encrypted in Security.config file available at C:\Program Files (x86)\Interworks Cloud Platform Installer path. In order to update BSS server(s) and Storefront server(s) with the new security keys it is necessary to update the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Interworks Cloud Platform Installer\Security.config to them with a copy of the file from the Administration server.

The installer will display the following message during BSS / Storefront components upgrade to 3.28.0 in case Security.config file is not updated and upgrade process will be stopped.
