Defining Acronis Products with Fixed Price with Overage

On this page, we will describe how you can define Acronis products that follow the Fixed Price with Overage billing model, where the customer is charged initially with a fixed amount. The customer’s consumption (amount) is monitored daily and if it reaches the capped threshold, overage pricing will be enforced at the end of the month.

The steps you must follow are the following:

  1. Create a new product by setting its product type to be “Acronis Cyber Cloud for Service Providers” and selecting the “Recurring charge - Pay-per-use” pricing option.

  2. You will notice that the option “Third Party Billing” is selected by default. This option will allow you to select the fixed price with overage modern, so you should keep it checked.

  3. Once you have verified that the Third Party Billing checkbox is enabled, you can enable the Fixed Price with Overage billing mode by selecting it from the drop-down menu Billing Model. This billing model is the one that allows Acronis MSPs to set a fixed price on their Acronis PPU products that are billed based on usage charges. This means that no matter how high or low the usage consumption reaches, the end-user will pay at least the fixed price.

  4. After selecting the Billing Model, you should choose from the Billing Option drop-down menu the option Upfront Billing. It means that the fixed price you are about to set on the 3rd step is being invoiced at the beginning (first day of each month) of the billing period.
The Overage Option field is currently locked at the Unlimited value. It means that there is no limit set on the usage charges stemming from the external billing system of Acronis. In later releases, more options will be available in this field.

  5. Subsequently, after configuring the preferred Billing Option, you can define the fixed price of your choice by typing it inside the monthly Sell Price field as displayed below.

This fixed price is arbitrary since it is not based on something nor has any costs to be acquired. The fixed price is charged on a monthly basis and is the same for all your customers. Therefore, every distributor can set their fixed prices based on their commercial policies. Furthermore, no price lists apply to the fixed price, but taxes are applied.

  6. By clicking on the Save button, the manually created Acronis PPU product will now have the hybrid pricing plan which contains the fixed price you have set. Of course, you can create as many such products as you wish.

Afterward, the next step is to make the product public on your Storefront by following the guide on the https://interworkscloud.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ICPD/pages/4661827 page.
