In the interworks.cloud platform, you can update the pricing of your Dropbox products by following the below guide. |
For the first step of updating the Dropbox product's prices, one must acquire the prices from Dropbox via their monthly released PDF file and either input manually the prices for each product and add-on in our BSS platform or utilize the Product ImporterTo import the prices via an Excel file. This process must be repeated each and every month since Dropbox product and add-on prices might change and our BSS platform prices should be in alignment with those from Dropbox.
Adobe PDF file includes the prices for each edition and each add-on. For products that offer an edition along with an add-on (for example, the product "Standard Edition Extended Version History, Annual Commitment, Billed Annually"), you should set the price of this product as the sum of both the edition and the add-on prices. |
To add the prices from Dropbox's PDF to our BSS platform, there are two methods, namely the manual input of prices and the "Product Importer" tool.
The manual input of prices for all 50 Dropbox products and 4 add-ons via the "Edit Recurring Charges" button, located under each Dropbox product's view page in BSS.
Dropbox Add-ons & "Advanced Server" Editions Require Manual Input of Prices Please be advised that the only way to input prices to the add-ons and the "Advanced Server" Editions is via the manual input method. Additionally, this is the only way to update prices for the two HelloSign products. |
Please note that the instructions below apply only to Dropbox and not to HelloSign products. HelloSign product prices must be updated manually, as described in the previous section.
You should first create a report containing all the Dropbox products. You will then use the exported excel file for updating the prices for each Dropbox product using the "Import Products" tool.
After the Excel file has been exported, please copy and paste all the contents to transfer them to a new Excel file that will have a distinctive name as well as the ".XLSX" filename extension.
Subsequently, the last step of Excel's creation is to create a new column named "Unit Sell Price". This column is the one that needs to be filled in with the prices contained in Dropbox's PDF file.
Preparation of Excel File for Two Different Import Processes Please note that since you will utilize the "Product Importer" method, you have to make two distinct imports. One for Dropbox products with unit "Month" and another one for Dropbox products with unit "Annual". |
Preparation Prior to the Two Imports Set the Annual Unit as the Default Unit before the Import The unit of all the Dropbox products might be set to either Month or Annual.
|
Remember to Run the Importer Twice! |
Since the products of Dropbox in our BSS platform are already imported automatically via the "Get Services Definition" process, the respective prices from the Excel file can be easily imported as follows:
Under the Billing > Products section, click on the "Import" button and select the option "Import Products".
On the pop-up window, click on Browse and locate the latest Excel file containing the current Month's product prices.
Upon uploading the Excel sheet, under the first step of the import process, you select the values of the fields related to:
On the second step of the import process, you must match the Excel file columns with the target fields by creating a mapping.
Make sure that you populate the target field values as depicted in the following image.
Click on the Next button after selecting the proper values for each target field.
On the third step of the import process, you are required to confirm the import by setting the "Responsible User" as well as the "Permission rule" based on which the process will be initiated.
Lastly, after finishing the import, inside the import report page, click on Close.
After the first import, don't forget to change the "Default Unit" and then re-run the import process for updating the prices of the "Monthly" billed Dropbox products.
Consequently, after finishing both Imports, you will see the added products having all the relevant prices.
Now all you have to do is manually update the prices for the two editions of the "Advanced Server" product along with the four Dropbox Add-ons, namely:
10 TB Add-On (for Advanced Server) - Billed Monthly
50 TB Add-On (for Advanced Server) - Billed Monthly
