Introduction

In order to have a smooth experience when using Acronis services, particular attention should be paid to the messages “Storage quota almost reached” and “Storage quota exceeded” from Acronis regarding the state of the storage and how they are handled.

Storage quota almost reached

A “Storage quota almost reached” (Warning) alert means that the tenant is approaching the storage quota purchased - all backup and delete operations continue functioning as usual

Solution

At this point it is prudent to carefully calculate tenant’s backup storage needs and proceed with the purchase of additional storage space in the form of add-ons.

By pressing the “View in web console” hyperlink displays the message on the Acronis console.

Storage quota exceeded

A “Storage quota exceeded” (Critical) alert means that the tenant reached or exceeded the storage quota purchased, at which point it is not possible to continue backup up the data or delete older backups in order to free up space - all backup and delete operations stop the moment tenant’s quota is reached.

Solution

  • There will be no additional notifications and all backup and delete operations will cease once the purchased quota is reached or exceeded.

  • Interworks.cloud cannot be held accountable for missed backups under these conditions.
