With the completion of the order execution, our system will generate an invoice for charging the Bundle product (prepaid) as the summation of its sub-products. Since certain sub-products are assigned to a given Bundle then the sum of all of their total prices becomes the actual Bundle's unit price. Therefore, the reseller/direct customer will know exactly what he pays for a Bundle product based on the invoice analysis, such as the one found in the following example.
Invoicing a Bundle Subscription
The following screenshot of an invoiced Bundle product, is the exact same invoice that would be produced for a simple product.
However, the pending invoices of Bundle products are visible only at the Bundle Subscription view-page and the user is able to manually Generate them through that very page. Also, the issued invoices are displayed only at the shortcuts' menu of the Bundle Subscription view-page.
Updating Pricing Rules of a Bundle's Sub-Products
By default, if the pricing rules of one or more sub-products are changed, then all the new Bundle subscriptions will contain those pricing rules.
However, let's analyze what happens for the existing Bundle subscriptions, when the pricing rules change.
By changing thepricing rule of a Bundle's sub-product that has no price-protection, will affect the pricing of the existing Bundle subscriptions since the price of the sub-product will be recalculated and updated by following the new pricing rule.
Case #1 Example - Price Rule Change
Sub-Products
Pricing Rule
Old Bundle Price
New Bundle Price
Existing Bundle Subscriptions
New Bundle Subscriptions
Both sub-products of a Bundle are not price-protected and originally had a pricing rule of 10 % discount. With the new discount change only on the sub-product B, the discount will be 20%.
Sub-Product A Sell price: $10
10% discount (Remains the same)
10*0.9 + 20*0.9 = $27
10*0.9 + 20*0.8 = $25
They will be affected.
They will be affected.
Sub-Product B Sell price $20
Old: 10% discount New: 20% discount
By changing thepricing rule of a Bundle's sub-product that has price-protection, it will effectively changethe pricing of any new Bundle subscription but it will notchange the Bundle's existing subscriptions since price-protected sub-products' pricing is locked for the period of the time protection.

Updating Price-Protected Sub-Subscriptions
By changing a Bundle's sub-subscription protected cost or sell price, the price of the sub-subscription will be updated using the new protected price and this will also affect the unit price of the Bundle subscription, given that a renewal or a quantity change takes place. In order for this change to occur, the BSS user must manually alter the protected sell and/or cost pricesfrom the corresponding ribbon found under the(price-protected) sub-product's subscription view in BSS.
