Introduction

This article provide details about the clients and client access methods that any user could follow  in order to access an Exchange 2016 mailbox.


Clients and mobile documentation

There are many different clients that a user can utilize to access information in an Exchange 2016 mailbox. These clients include desktop programs such as Outlook 2016, Outlook on the web, and mobile clients such as mobile phones, tablets, and other mobile devices.

Supported Clients

Exchange 2016 mailbox are supported from the clients below:

  • Outlook 2016

  • Outlook 2013

  • Outlook 2010 SP2 

  • Outlook for Mac for Office 365

  • Outlook for Mac 2016

Mobile Devices

Most mobile phones or tablets  are capable of using Autodiscover in Exchange to configure the mobile email client to use Exchange ActiveSync


Outlook on the Web

The user interface in Outlook on the web (formerly known as Outlook Web App) for Exchange Server 2016 has been optimized and simplified for use with phones and tablets. Most of the web browsers could support email access to users along with the majority of Outlook features. 


Conclusion

Exchange 2016 mailboxes can be browsed via any supported edition of Outlook, via mobile devices  and of course on the go via any browser.
