Following the order execution of a Bundle product, a subscription is created. However, the main difference between a normal subscription of a product and a Bundle subscription of two or more sub-products (with or without add-ons) is the fact that the sub-products (and add-ons) of a Bundle are invoiced through the main Bundle subscription and will follow the pricing options of the Bundle configuration. In this successive analysis, the user can gain a better understanding of how to manage a Bundle subscription along with its sub-subscriptions in the Storefront.

Accessing the Subscriptions' List-View

By login into Storefront and navigating to Billing > Subscriptions and clicking on the "Subscriptions" button, the Storefront user will witness all the subscriptions from all the accounts.

The Subscriptions' list-view, upon closer inspection, displays the Bundle subscriptions (according to their status) in such a way that they are easily identifiable. The element that differentiates them from the rest of the subscriptions is the icon used in front of the subscription's description.

In view of these differentiating elements of Bundle subscriptions, it is important to further analyze the second icon. The second icon's purpose is twofold. It is primarily used for visually illustrating that the row's subscription is in fact a Bundle, but upon hovering over it, it will also display a small information modal that depicts all the bundled sub-products' descriptions along with their licenses' quantity, which is quite a convenient feature. Furthermore, the three dots at the end of each row, allow the Storefront user to either buy more licenses (if applicable) or cancel the subscription along with its sub-subscriptions.

Managing Normal & Configurable Sub-Subscriptions

Managing either normal or configurable services and their sub-subscriptions is easy and straightforward inside the Bundle's subscription view page.

Bundle Subscription Overview PAGE

Upon clicking on a Bundle subscription, the Storefront user is redirected to the Bundle subscription overview page where the Bundle's "sub-subscriptions" are visible and can be managed, while the sub-products and add-ons (whenever applicable) are also visible.  Moreover, on this page, the Storefront user can either buy more licenses (if applicable) or cancel the subscription along with its sub-subscriptions, by utilizing the "I Want To..." button.

Simple Sub-Product

Configurable Sub-Product

In the event of configurable sub-product subscriptions, then the Storefront user, upon clicking on a Bundle subscription, is redirected to the Bundle subscription overview page where the Bundle's sub-products as well the configuration options for all the sub-products are visible and can be managed.

  • Sub-Subscriptions SECTION

The Sub-Subscriptions section of this page is a list of all the bundle's participating sub-products. The columns of that list are the following:

Description: It depicts the name of the sub-subscription.
Quantity: It depicts the number of licenses each sub-subscription has.
The Manage Your Service button redirects the Storefront user to the "My Workspace" page, for managing each service individually.

  • Configuration SECTION
The Configuration section of this page depicts all the configured options of one or more sub-products in detail and it also clarifies which configurable options correspond to which sub-product. By clicking on the "View All Features" button, the Storefront user is redirected to the Bundle's product overview in Storefront.

My Workspace PAGE

In the workspace section, the customer will see options for managing the services that are included in a bundle.  There will be a separate setup section for each product where it displays along with the sub-subscriptions, their product names, their number of licenses, and the "Setup" buttons.

The "Setup" button is utilized for redirecting the Storefront user to the corresponding vendor's management portal, to login into and manage even further each service.

Adding an Extra Add-on to a Bundle Subscription

From within the Bundle's subscription view page, Storefront users have the option to add an extra add-on (from the sub-products of the bundle) on top of the bundle subscription, by clicking on the I want to... button and selecting the Add add-on button.

Once the Add add-on button is clicked, the following pop-up window appears where the Storefront user can select the add-on they wish to add on top of the Bundle.

As you can witness, the add-ons that appear in the list are the add-ons of the sub-products that are contained within the Bundle.

Specifically, in the "Buy add-ons" list you can search for an add-on, select an add-on, and change the quantity of the selected add-on before clicking the Submit button to initiate the add-on purchase.
