Support for Google Workspace

Image Added

Google introduced Google Workspace as a replacement for G Suite. Similar to G Suite, all Google Workspace plans provide a custom email and include collaboration tools like Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites, and more.

The service manager we have built for G Suite has been updated and now supports Google Workspace too. Since Google has introduced a transition period from upgrading from the old G Suite plans to the new Workspace plans, the current version of our service manager supports both the old and the new plans:

  • Google Workspace Enterprise Plus - replacement for GSuite Enterprise

  • Google Workspace Enterprise Standard

  • Google Workspace Business Plus

  • Google Workspace Business Standard

  • Google Workspace Business Starter

  • Google Workspace Essentials - replacement for GSuite Essentials

  • GSuite Basic (legacy plan)

  • GSuite Business (legacy plan)

Check please Defining G Suite Products for understanding how you can work with Google Workspace plans.

G Suite Service Manager Improvements

In this release we implemented the following improvements:

Collect Admin User’s Alternative Email

We have added in account sync option a new field called “Alternative Email” for collecting admin user’s email. This email will be sent to Google for sending to admin user the activation instructions.

Image Added

Create a Primary Contact for each Imported Customer

Our G Suite Customers' Importer Tool now creates for each imported account a contact using the details of the admin user as stored in Google portal. Check automatic import of contacts for more details.

Upgrade / Downgrade Capability

You can now define upgrade and downgrade paths between Google plans using the instructions in Upgrade Paths section.

Not Use of Reseller’s MPNID for Personal Usage

From this release we no longer relate the subscriptions we create in Microsoft Partner for reseller’s personal usage with his MPN ID. Such subscriptions are not related with reseller’s MPNID since Microsoft requires services that are consumed from the reseller not to be linked with his MPN ID.
