Microsoft, as part of their of their continued commitment to customers and partners around compliant business practices, are requesting additional data fields from Partners to all new customers and updates to existing ones. All partners with a direct billing relationship with Microsoft (Direct Bill partners and indirect providers) are requested to submit Tax ID (INN) information of customers for the following two sets of countries on different dates:

Russia, Hungary, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

  1. November 2020 is the Microsoft Release Date for the Tax ID (INN) requirement, addressed to the following countries: Russia, Hungary, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.

  2. March 2021 is the Microsoft Release Date for the Tax ID (INN) requirement, addressed to the following countries: Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, Poland, South Africa, India, Brazil, Iraq, Myanmar, South Sudan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela.

these new requirements from the 3.28.4 release. For CSPs that resell to one of the above countries, our system will create a new synchronization parameter that is called “Organization INN”. The customer or the reseller will be requested to fill its Tax ID as part of the checkout process

Activating the “Organization INN” Synchronization Option


The “Organization INN” synchronization option will be available in your system if you define in Microsoft Cloud Services options that you resell to any of the above countries:

By adding in the “countries” field any of the above countries, the “Organization INN” synchronization option will be created in your BSS:

Ordering Process

For the end customers

Before ordering for new end-customers, that belong to one of the above-mentioned countries, please ensure that their account information is accurate. The mandatory fields are the legal identifier (eg: Tax ID, INN#) and the phone number.
The ordering process is identical with the process for the rest customers. The only difference is that for these

customers, the Tax ID (Organization INN) will be required in the Service Details” step where we collect the required information for creating the Microsoft tenant.

If you decide to synchronize your account from BSS, then this option will be available on

If you place an order for an existing Microsoft tenant we will not update the Account details in Microsoft Partner Center with the Organization INN you will define in the above form. We use this information only for the creation of new Microsoft tenants.
