Introduction

This article describes the steps to be taken in order to rectify CredSSP Encryption Oracle Remediation error.

This error prevents someone to connect remotely to a server usually via RDP, and it originates from the latest Windows Updates as of 2018.

Remediation

If you cannot RDP to VMs from the patched client, then consider changing the policy settings on the client to temporarily gain RDP access to the servers. Settings can be changed in Local Group Policy Editor.
Execute gpedit.msc and browse to Computer Configuration →  Administrative Templates →  System → Credentials Delegation in the left pane:

Change the Encryption Oracle Remediation policy to Enabled, and Protection Level to Vulnerable.

Note

The Execute gpedit.msc commands should be run to the computer that is trying to access the server with mentioned error, not the other way around.

Conclusion

By doing above steps the server should be accessible and the error should no longer be relevant.
