Understanding Tenant Resellers

IT Distributors and Service Providers can expand their cloud business by offering to their resellers tools for automation and monitoring of cloud services, increasing revenues and reducing churn. The tenant resellers with their own dedicated tenant have a fully functional system for managing and billing their customers:

  1. A branded marketplace for their customers to place orders and manage their services. The marketplace can be localized to appeal to reseller’s cultural preferences in their own target language.

  2. Ability to define their own pricing policy for the services they offer to their customers. The prices can be also in their local currency.

  3. Ability to offer their own products along with the product they get from their distributor.   

  4. They can integrate their Marketplace with a payment gateway of their preference for accepting credit card payments.

  5. They can integrate with their billing system for getting the customer charges generated by our platform.



Logical Deployment Scheme

No extra installation is required for the deployment of a tenant reseller. The tenant reseller will be activated in the same installation where the Distributor organization runs. 

Root Organization

The root organization is the distributor's organization and it is for the centralized management of the services offered by the distributor.

  • The product managers will maintain the product catalogues they want to make available to their main marketplace as well as their tenant resellers.

  • All sales and finance data from the reseller’s tenants will be consolidated to root organization for knowing the Distributor what to bill his tenant resellers (back-ordering process)

Tenant Reseller

A tenant reseller has its own BSS and Storefront for reselling distributor's services. Each tenant reseller will be created underneath the root organization and it can be a Basic or Premium Reseller. Check interworks.cloud Platform Editions for the differences between the Basic and Premium resellers. 

Tenant Reseller Initialization and Maintenance

The activation of a tenant reseller is fully automated by copying the product catalogue and default configuration to reseller tenant. The maintenance of the product catalogue is also handled automatically. Every time the distributor makes some changes in reseller's price list, these changes are propagated directly to reseller's BSS.
