This page explains how you can manage the free trials your customers have requested by creating trial subscriptions and upgrade them to paid directly from BSS.
Creating an Office 365 Trial Subscription
For creating a trial subscription you must do the following:
- Open the details page of the Office 365 plan your customer wants to try
- Select "Request for Trial" from the Shortcuts menu.
- The new trial subscription form will be loaded. In this page you must define:
- For which customer is the trial by filling the Customer field.
Define from which date the trial will start by setting a value for the "Start Date" field. This field cannot be in the past, it can be a current or future date.
- Press Save for the trial subscription to be created. This action will create a 30 days trial subscription in the partner center for 25 licenses.
Note 1: Since a trial subscription in the partner center cannot be suspended or deleted, these actions are also not available in the trial subscription page in BSS.
Note 2: If the customer you selected hasn't confirmed the acceptance of the MCA agreement, the system will display the MCA pop-up form.
Upgrading a Trial Subscription
You can upgrade a trial subscription to a paid subscription by selecting the "Upgrade Trial to Paid" action from the Shortcuts menu.
This action will display the following pop-up for defining:
- The upgrade date.
- If the paid subscription will be monthly or annually
- The number of licenses
- How the licenses will be billed
