Azure Plan Reservations
Azure Plan Reservation are now available for your customers and resellers to purchase them from your Storefront. We have delivered an ordering wizard for purchasing an Azure Reservation that will be applied to the Azure Plan subscription you have defined. In this release, we only support one-off charges, but very soon we will support the monthly billing frequency too.
For the Azure Plan Reservations, you will not need to upload the pricing excel once per month, as was the case for the legacy Azure Reservation, since we are using Microsoft Pricing API for getting ad-hoc the correct pricing. You can also sell them in any currency you wish since we are using Microsoft's official FX rates for converting the USD cost prices we collect via API to the currency of your customer.
What's next?
The following functionality will follow in future releases:
Placing orders for Azure Reservations with monthly billing frequency.
Placing order via BSS.
Allowing your tenant resellers to sell and manage Azure Plan Reservations.
For more details, please check Microsoft Azure Plan Reservations
Setting Budget Alerts for Azure Plan Subscriptions
A budget will give the ability to your resellers and direct customers to setup a threshold for the consumption of each of their Azure Plan subscription(s). With budgets they can view If the current cost of their Azure Plan subscription is reaching close to the cost budget they defined. Also, they can check the historical budgets of their Azure Plan Subscriptions and view the budget variance as well as receive alerts for a Reserved Instance budget, when the Reserved Instance is under-utilized. This functionality is available only to your customers and resellers via your Storefront.

Allow your Resellers to change their MPN ID
It is a fact that the Resellers' MPN IDs might change, and as such Microsoft rebates towards the Resellers might get lost if their MPN IDs are not updated. Recently, we have introduced the "Change Reseller MPN ID" tool in BSS Setup mode for helping you to change your reseller MPN ID and affect all their end-customers' related (active and suspended) subscriptions, add-ons and sync options automatically, by mass updating the old MPN ID with a new one. Now, this tool is also introduced inside the Storefront for accommodating your resellers to change their MPN ID by themselves.
Your resellers will be able to update their MPN ID from the My Account page in your Storefront. A new section is now available where they can enter their new MPN ID.
By entering their new MPN ID our system will:
Update the "Reseller (MPNID)" synchronization option for both the reseller and all his sub-customers in your BSS
Update all subscriptions and Azure reservation in Microsoft Partner Center that are now linked with reseller's previous MPN ID
For more details, please check Updating Reseller's MPNID
