Upgrading or Cancelling Plans
This page contains short guides showing how to upgrade or cancel your subscription as a distributor via the BSS or a reseller via the Storefront.
The interworks.cloud platform provides IT Distributors with an easy and intuitive way to upgrade their resellers to the Free or Standard plan, as well as providing Resellers with means to autonomously upgrade or cancel their subscriptions.
Upgrade from Basic to Free or Standard
Upgrade from Basic in the Storefront
To upgrade from the Basic Plan to the Free or Standard Plan in the storefront:
Select the Storefront icon to go to the Reseller Plans product page.
Here, you may select one of the two plans and add it to your basket.
Specify the Storefront Alias during the checkout process and proceed to checkout.
Resellers who have a Standard Plan may have their own Storefront URL;
For example, if the reseller’s alias is techsolutions and the distributor’s Storefront URL is cloud.disti.com, then the Standard Edition reseller’s Storefront URL will be cloud.disti.com/techsolutions
The order is executed and the Subscription is created automatically. The reseller will receive an email to login to their Customer Portal where they may customize it.
Upgrade from Basic in the BSS
To upgrade a reseller from a Basic Plan to the Free or Standard Plan:
Create an order for the Free or Standard Plan product.
After saving the order, in the Products tab of the Order view, select the pencil icon:
The Storefront Alias must be specified here before the order is executed.
Execute the Order to create a Subscription.
When you have upgraded a reseller to the standard edition, resellers will receive a notification email informing them about their new storefront URL. The standard edition reseller will be able to log into their Storefront by using the same credentials they use to access the Distributor’s Storefront.
This email is available as the Welcome to Standard Reseller Storefront notifications template in the Setup environment of the Distributor's BSS (Setup → Notifications → Customer Notifications → Accounts).
This email will be sent to the reseller’s primary contact, but you can add any other preferred recipients from the Notifications menu in the Setup environment of your BSS. For further information on customizing your BSS notifications, check the relevant section on setting up and editing notifications.
Upgrade from Free to Standard
Upgrade from Free in the Storefront
In the Storefront, you may simply go to the Reseller Plans product page by selecting the Storefront icon, add the Standard plan product to your basket, and proceed to checkout.
Upgrade from Free in the BSS
BSS users can upgrade the Subscription of a reseller with an active Free subscription to to the Standard Plan, by selecting Upgrade in the shortcuts menu:
Cancel the Subscription
Cancel in the Storefront
Cancel the subscription in the Storefront by going to your Subscription, and selecting I WANT TO… → Cancel the subscription.
This can also be done in the Subscriptions list by selecting Actions → Cancel the subscription.
Cancel in the BSS
The subscription can be cancelled by locating the subscription in the BSS and selecting Cancel in the shortcut menu.
Please note that cancelling either the Free or Standard Edition subscription reverts to the Basic Reseller plan.
Once the subscription is canceled, the Standard Reseller’s Storefront URL will no longer be accessible. The URL will display the login page, but neither the Standard Reseller nor the sub-customers will be able to log in.
The Standard Reseller’s Storefront data, such as markups, special prices for products or customers, aliases, storefront settings settings, and notification settings, are retained in the database temporarily.
The Standard Free or Paid Reseller, during the period when the subscription is in 'Pending Cancellation' status may continue to use the services of the Standard Reseller Edition until the subscription is canceled.
If the user changes their mind and wants to reuse the services of the Standard Reseller, they will need to create a new subscription from the beginning, either with the Standard or Free product.
