Microsoft Trials are available from release 3.24.12


With the automation of Microsoft Trials through our platform you will be able to:

Q: How can I activate the trials option and in which services?
A: You will be able to activate trial options through the standard Get Services Definition process. The system will automatically detect and enable the trials capability to the according O365 services.


Q: Do trials share the same SKU as the actual services-products?
A: Through the Get Services Definition, our system pulls new SKUs automatically received by Microsoft APIs. Our system then correlates the trials SKUs with the actual paid services.

Q: Can I choose to define the trial period?

A: No. The trial period for all Office 365 products is pre-defined by Microsoft to 30-days. You can however upgrade to a paid plan whenever you want within the free trial period.

Q: Will the system auto-generate new products for trials?

A: As mentioned earlier, the system will correlate the trial services with the actual paid services, hence will not generate any new product within BSS.


Q: How can I check which products have the trials option enabled?

A: You can easily search which products have trial period by utilizing the search filter and more specifically with the "Trial Enabled" filter set to "Yes"

Q: Can I or my customers change the quantity of the Trials?

A: Microsoft offers a fixed quantity for all trials. The number of seats offered is 25 and cannot be changed.


Q: Does the process of purchasing trials differ from purchasing paid O365 services?

A: Trials are free, which means that pricing information while purchasing, cannot exist. Apart from this minor detail, the purchasing experience is exactly similar to purchasing O365 services. Your customers will also need a domain prefix.


Q: Will the system automatically upgrade a trial subscription to a paid subscription?

A: No, the system will only upgrade to a paid subscription with a manual process from your reseller or customer.


Q: Can any customer or reseller get more than one trial per customer per plan/service?

A: No, a customer/reseller can only get one trial for the same Office 365 plan.


Q: What if I already am a paid customer? Can I try out the same Office 365 plan i am already paying?

A: No, you cannot try out a plan you already are paying.
