The Microsoft Partner Agreement makes the contracting experience easier while continuing to meet regulatory obligations and promote trust among Microsoft, partners, and customers. This dynamically created agreement delivers relevant terms based on partner type and the offers they’re qualified to sell. A more efficient contracting experience reduces complexity, and this perpetual agreement doesn’t expire or follow an annual revision cycle.

The agreement will:

Beginning September 1, 2019, the agreement will be available on Partner Center. Partners in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program will be the first to leverage the agreement, which will begin to replace these agreements:  


Q: Will the system, check if the MPA was signed for Distributor, Service Providers and Resellers too?
A:
No, the system will only check, if the reseller has signed the MPA agreement. 


Q: Will the MPA only work both from BSS orders as well as SF orders?
A:
Yes. The system will check for the reseller's Partner agreement, both from BSS order placement, as well as SF order placement. 


Q: Will my resellers have the capability to sign the MPA directly from SF?
A:
No, Microsoft has not yet provided a way to sign the MPA through an API call. However, your system will check if your reseller has signed the MPA or not.


Q: Will my resellers have the capability to skip the check of the MPA agreement from Storefront?
A:
No, the system will always check if the reseller has signed the MPA agreement or not, before submitting a new order or editing a current subscription.
