Q: How will the new Acronis Products with the local storage be viewed in Storefront?
A: The new Acronis Products will be viewed exactly as the current Acronis v.1 products are viewed in the Storefront.


Q: Will the upgrade be backwards compatible?

A: Yes, all previous functionalities and methods from v.1 API will be available in v.2 API, plus much more expansions and capabilities.

Q: What more will we see in Acronis v.2?

A: After the Acronis v.2 upgrade you will be able to distribute among many, Acronis Disaster Recovery and also access to Manage Pricing feature along with the most important ability to define quota at local backups.

I be able to execute after Acronis v.2 new local storage feature either from BSS or from SF?

A: After the implementation of Acronis v.2, regarding local storage you will be able to:

  • Create new primary products that will define quota only in local back-ups from BSS
  • Show add-ons in Storefront for local-storage quota
  • Manage local quota purchase subscriptions from BSS
  • Manage local quota purchase subscriptions from Storefront
  • Define local quota to current and previous subscriptions


Q: Will I be able to migrate my existing customers and their subscriptions from Acronis to BSS?

A: Yes, you will be able to migrate your customers and subscriptions from Acronis to BSS with the help of the importer tool.


Q: Which services of Acronis will be available on my storefront?

A:  The services that will be available on your storefront are Acronis Cloud Backup, Acronis Files Cloud & Acronis Backup. You will be notified for upcoming Acronis services that will become available in the near future.


Q: Will I be able to manage my subscriptions?

A: You have the ability to fully manage your Acronis subscriptions as well as add more quotas to a current subscription through the use of Add-ons.


Q: How can I bill my customers?

A: You can create prepaid Acronis packages that your downstream customers (Resellers or end-customers) will be able to purchase, with pre-defined quotas. In the near future, we are planning to support the pay-per-use model for the Acronis products in your storefront.
