We are excited to announce our updated cancellation process for full subscription cancellations, designed to be more reliable and transparent than ever before.

💎 Value: The full subscription cancellation process prioritizes vendor provisioning, ensuring accurate status updates and minimizing potential billing discrepancies. Users are kept informed via various means of any issues during the cancellation process, whether they occur on our platform or the vendor's platform. This way, users will know with certainty if the cancellation has been successful on both platforms and how to resolve any issues if they arise.

🛠️ Applicability: The full subscription cancellation process applies to all Service Managers and their subscriptions (paid, trial, and bundles) initiated within BSS and Storefront portals for immediate and pre-dated executions.

⚙️How it works: The full subscription cancellation process outlines the following three different cancellation scenarios.

1. Successful Cancellation on Both Platforms: The subscription is canceled first on the Vendor platform and then on ours, and its Subscription and Synchronization Statuses are updated to "Canceled" and "Synchronized”, respectively.

2. Vendor Platform Cancellation Failure: The subscription is not canceled, neither on the vendor platform nor on ours, and its Subscription and Synchronization Statuses revert while users receive a vendor error message for that cancellation.

3. Our Platform Cancellation Failure: The subscription is canceled on the vendor platform but not on ours, and its Subscription and Synchronization Statuses revert while users receive a platform error message for that cancellation.

🗣️ Important Note: The upcoming releases will adopt this cancellation method for more processes, including cancellations for add-ons, assets, and partial cancellations of licenses.

We are excited to announce another significant enhancement to our billing process, allowing the automated generation of invoices after subscription and add-on full cancellations in BSS, as well as upgrades and downgrades in the BSS portal. This feature builds on previous improvements like automated invoicing after quantity changes (3.28.167), new add-on creation, and edits in Pricing Information (3.28.170).

💎 Value: The enhancement contributes to streamlining the billing process and centralizing all invoices in BSS with the invoice date matching the transaction date. This way, customers can maintain accurate billing records within the same calendar month.

⚙️ How it works: After the full cancellation of any subscription or add-on, BSS will automatically and immediately generate a new invoice. Also, after an upgrade or downgrade of any subscription, BSS will automatically and immediately generate the appropriate debit and credit invoices. If the billing date doesn’t match the cancellation date and upgrade/downgrade date, respectively, the invoice(s) will be in status Pending. This allows the system to accurately calculate any adjustments for charges or refunds based on the cancellation date and upgrade/downgrade date, respectively.

🚀 Activation: This mechanism will be activated only if the BSS Account Billing Options are set to enable billing on order day.

⌛ Coming soon: Upcoming releases will introduce further billing optimizations, including instant invoice generation following actions such as editing pricing information on add-ons, and backordering.

To ensure a consistent and accurate calculation of account balances between the BSS portal and the Storefront portal, we have addressed a rounding issue that was causing a discrepancy of +2 cents in some accounts. The account balance calculation method in the Storefront portal has been updated to match the BSS portal's method, which applies rounding to all amounts.

We are excited to announce an update to our Adobe VIP MP Migration Tool error messaging system. The platform now dynamically incorporates Adobe's shared list of VIP MP Migration error codes, ensuring all error codes, including new ones, are communicated in a user-friendly manner by enclosing detailed reasons. This enhancement provides more specific error messages to better support our resellers.

💎 Value: This improvement enhances the user experience by providing more detailed error messages, which help users quickly identify and address issues. Resellers can now access more specific error information, facilitating faster problem resolution. This update ensures better support and efficiency when managing VIP MP Migrations, ultimately improving the overall workflow and satisfaction.

The following issues were addressed, with fixes applied where necessary:

1. Failure During Reseller Change for Adobe Quantity Parsing Issue for Subscription Upgrades - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where affecting the Adobe Reseller Change process caused an error on retries. This update resolves the problem where the tool would break on a second run, ensuring smoother operations when using the Reseller Change toolupgrade process for subscriptions with quantities exceeding 999. Previously, the system misinterpreted these quantities, rounding them off incorrectly and preventing further upgrades. The issue was traced to the Subscription View parsing logic. This fix ensures accurate quantity parsing and allows seamless subscription upgrades for higher quantities. The resolution also updates the UI to display the correct, current subscription quantity by default.

2. Custom Field Error in Offers - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where creating a Product Offers Custom Field as "Simple Value" or "Text Area" with a default value caused unhandled errors on subsequent edits. The error, due to the rendering of HTML elements with duplicate IDs when both custom and default values were provided, has been fixed. Now, editing Offers and their items works smoothly, even when a default value is set for the custom field. This fix applies to custom fields of type "List of values" as well.

3. Wrong End-Date Alignment Option - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where selecting a date during an order in both BSS and Storefront showed an incorrect end date of 09/08/2025, while the actual end date was 10/08/2025 in Partner Center and MPC. This discrepancy prevented order completion. The root cause was identified as server offset issues, where end dates were incorrectly converted to local time. Solutions include ensuring that custom end dates are preserved in UTC for BSS and correcting the display in the Storefront dropdowns. The end date selection now aligns correctly, allowing for seamless order processing.

4. Activation Link Error - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where users encountered an error when attempting to reset passwords or send activation emails through the Shortcut menu. This problem occurred even when email preferences were set correctly and notifications were successfully delivered in other scenarios. The issue was traced to the new modern authentication options, where the mail server field was not mandatory. The fix now ensures that proper checks are performed for the mail authentication protocol, even if the mail server is not filled in.
