We're thrilled to introduce to you with this release the availability of the “Upgrade to an Existing NCE Subscription“ feature to the BSS portal. This means that you can now upgrade to an existing NCE subscription directly throughthe BSS portal.

⚙️ How it works: Previously only available in Storefront, this feature allows users to fully or partially upgrade a subscription to an existing one, as long as the necessary criteria are met. The platform displays all eligible subscriptions, lets you adjust the license quantity, and select the upgrade execution date.

💎 Value: This enhancement enables a seamless upgrade process through the BSS portal since users can now execute upgrades that could never have been performed in the past. Now, there is no need to create multiple subscriptions for the same products, helping you keep everything streamlined and organized.

We are excited to announce a new functionality to our platform’s Import Customers Tool. The added functionality of the tool means that it now supports the retrieval and import of new end customers of Tenant Resellers along with their NCE subscriptions from the Microsoft Partner Center to our platform. This new functionality is based on the backordering functionality, which must be enabled (in the root organization) for Tenant resellers to be able to access and select their inherited Microsoft instances. Furthermore, the retrieval process has been simplified, meaning that users can now select the appropriate inherited Microsoft instance and retrieve their new end customers along with their subscriptions from the Microsoft Partner Center, that have assigned to them the Tenant reseller’s MPN ID.

Moreover, the tool’s interface has been streamlined by removing certain irrelevant columns along with certain buttons to provide a clearer view. These updates are designed to enhance usability and ensure a more efficient customer management experience for Tenant resellers concerning their customer base and subscriptions within our platform.

Of course, the functionality and features of the import tool for Direct and Indirect CSPs have been kept intact.

🍿 What is ⌛ Coming soon:
In upcoming releases, the Import Customers Tool will handle the import and update of new subscriptions of Tenant resellers' existing end customers for Tenant resellers.

Currently, the VIP MP Migration Tool halts migrations from the VIP channel to the VIP MP channel if any Adobe VIP subscription is within the 30-day grace period post-anniversary. Users encountering this will see the error: “Customers within the renewal window following their anniversary date who have not yet renewed some or all of their products will be denied migrations to VIP MP.” Future updates will address and support this scenario. Stay tuned for more improvements!

The following issues were addressed, with fixes applied where necessary:

1. Erratic Bug During Microsoft Subscription Upgrade Wrong Language Detection for Invoice Templates - Issue Resolved: We have resolved a bug where upgrading an existing subscription from the Storefront failed due to license discrepancies between the platform and the Microsoft Partner Center. This error that was being caused by the bug also allowed changes to the subscription quantity, even though it had a Failed status, which should not have been possible. The root cause was identified in one of our checking processes, which did not handle multiple order items correctly. A fix has been implemented to address this specific bugan issue where the system incorrectly read the language setting for Greek storefront users, causing the email template condition to fail. Previously, the system checked for “Greek” instead of “Ελληνικά,” resulting in the condition never being met. Now, the system accurately detects the storefront user’s language and applies the correct translation. If no storefront user is found, the email will be sent in the distributor’s default language.

2. Subscription List Visibility for Tenant Resellers - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where Tenant Resellers could see all subscriptions in the tenant environment when accessing the distributor storefront, instead of only their subscriptions. This issue arose because of a specific flag that failed to filter records. The behavior has been corrected to match the expected behavior, ensuring Tenant Resellers now see only their subscriptions.

3. Subscription Cancellation Ribbon Display in BSS - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where a gray “No data to display” ribbon appeared on Microsoft subscription view pages in BSS for 5-10 seconds. Now, the gray ribbon does not appear if the subscription has no provisioning.

4. Incorrect Quantity in Azure RI Invoice - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where Azure RI invoices displayed incorrect quantities due to charge plans in USD currency. The problem occurred because certain invoice items were multiplied by the number of available currencies, leading to inflated quantities. Now, the system accurately calculates the quantities of Azure RI Invoices regardless of currencies.
