In this release, Microsoft Indirect Providers & Microsoft Direct CSPs can use the New Commerce Experience (NCE) Trials feature.

With this feature, you can:

• Automatically update your product catalog with the Trial availability on a product level.

• Promote NCE Trials through your Storefront.

• Automatically activate & provide a Trial NCE Subscription.

• Allow the Trial to end and purchase a new subscription, to get any promotion available by Microsoft and have the option to decide on the number of licenses and the billing term.

⚠️ For the trials to become available to your BSS organization, you have to run the Get Services Definition process on every Microsoft Service Manager Instance.

With this release, the Abode Sign products and add-ons are offered for purchase! The Adobe Sign products are offered to individuals and businesses that want to digitize their everyday operations by offering and utilizing enterprise-level e-signature solutions. These Adobe products offer a range of scalable document e-signing solutions to meet the unique business needs of each end customer.

More specifically, the range of scalable document e-signing solutions is provided via the two types of Adobe Sign products, namely, the Adobe Sign Transactions (in the form of prepaid consumables), and the Adobe Sign Licenses(NULs) (in the form of subscription based licenses).

Updating the Adobe Catalog with the Adobe Sign Products & Add-ons
Once the Adobe Sign products are downloaded (via the official Adobe product’s Excel file) from the Adobe Partner Portal, they can be prepared and imported to our BSS platform via the respective import tool. Afterwards, they can be assigned to the Adobe Product Container and be published in your Storefront.

Differences & Similarities Between the Adobe Sign products and the Adobe Teams & Enterprise products
Some differences between the Adobe Sign products and the Adobe Teams & Enterprise products, are that Adobe Sign Transaction products utilize Tiers for volume discounts, whereas Adobe Sign License products utilize Levels, exactly like the Adobe Teams & Enterprise products. Also, certain Adobe Sign products can be offered as trials and also they can have dependable add-ons.

Microsoft has introduced two new parameters for the academic customers. In essence, these fields are utilized during the vetting process of an academic customer in order to facilitate faster yet more controlled vetting and consequently simplify the transactions of Academic-priced offers and products for you, your resellers, and their end-customers.

These new parameters have been introduced in our system as account sync options. They are called Education Segment, and Education Website.

The new education vetting process will affect only new customers or existing customers that haven’t the education qualification. The new process will be initiated when an order includes any educational product for any of the following Microsoft product types: Microsoft Perpetual Licenses, Microsoft Cloud Services, and Microsoft Dynamics.

🔹 Currently, the functionality for vetting new Education customers via the Storefront is limited, yet the same functionality is fully available from the BSS. In the upcoming releases, the functionality in Storerfont will be fully available.

⚠️ For the two Education fields along with their functionality to become available to your BSS organization, you have to run the Get Services Definition process on every Microsoft Service Manager Instance.

Various improvements have been implemented for this release concerning the Scheduled Orders mechanism. The highlights are the following:

• A new notification email, named Schedule Order Execution Failed, is dispatched for Scheduled Orders that failed to be executed.

• A new BSS inline banner is added under the Order view page, which clarifies that the order is Scheduled while also displaying the Execution Date.

• A BSS user can cancel a Scheduled Order, by editing it in BSS and changing its status.

• A Storefront user can also cancel a Scheduled Order via the Order Items page.

• A Storefront user can now distinguish a Scheduled Order from a non-Scheduled Order inside the Orders History page.

• Scheduled Orders can also be canceled via API, since all that is required is a change in their status. However, Scheduled Orders are not yet fully supported by the Public API.

⚠️ Please note that Scheduled Orders, for customers having On-Premise Installations,require the RabbitMQ serverto be installed and setup in order for the Scheduling mechanism to be fully functional.

With this latest update, your resellers can set the distributor’s suggested retail price (SRP) for all products, including the NCE catalog.

From this release, the custom fields that present the account’s sync options for a specific vendor (e.g. Microsoft’s sync options) are now accessible to all users that have read access to the account record. This means that any permissions set for the fields under the Account Sync Options in BSS appear always regardless of user permissionscustom fields group (e.g, Microsoft Cloud Services) are ignored.

With this improvement, the Billing Plan field, inside the Storefront Order Items Details view page, displays the selected Billing Plan (Monthly or Annual) for Orders orders that are scheduled for execution in the future (meaning not-executed yet). The following screenshot indicates the issue prior to the improvement.

The Checkout Confirmation page has been slightly adjusted to streamline the checkout experience. Since provisioning occurs asynchronously, the provisioning status has been removed from the order summary and can now be viewed in the Notification Center. The Manage Your Services column has also been removed, since the user can now access their cloud services through the Workspace page menu.

The API v2.2 method PUT /api/Invoices/{invoiceId}/markpaid, related to invoices, will become deprecated in about four(4) months' time.
This notification will be repeated one more time in a later release.
