are handled as subscriptions and belong to the MS Cloud Services group. The name of the group is the name that the BSS administrator specified during the setup of the cloud app.
The product characteristics are:
MS Service Plan - Contains unique combinations of ProductID:SkuID
Product Family - Specifies the group of products, as defined by Microsoft, and contains one of the following values:
Microsoft 365
Dynamics 365
Power Platform
Windows 365
Subscription Type - Used to distinguish between base subscriptions and add-ons.
Product Creation
NCE products are active when they are created, even without an assigned price, and with only the organization’s default currency enabled. Any subsequent call of Get Service Definition updates all NCE products and creates new products that have become available since the last update. To assign prices to the products, please refer to: Updating Product Prices.
NCE products are Excluded from prorata to avoid any issues with cancellation, upgrade, downgrade, quantity increase, or term/billing frequency changes on renewal.
The title of each product contains the D365/M365/POWERPLATFORM/W365 prefix depending on the product family it belongs to, and the (New Commerce) suffix to identify them as NCE products.
Add-ons & Prerequisite Products
Add-ons require a base subscription to their prerequisite product before they can be purchased. The NCE add-ons appear as standalone products in the catalog, and purchasing add-ons creates separate subscription entries in the system for them.
