At interworks.cloud, we work hard to provide solutions that match your needs and enable you to offer bespoke services to your resellers. For this reason and taking into account our customers' feedback, we have decided to create a holistic, step-by-step approach that guides you and allows you to gradually upgrade your resellers by giving them the ability to update their services and capabilities. In this context, our vision foresees three different editions of our platform:

  • Basic Reseller (formerly lite reseller): for any reseller who wants to offer services bought from a Distributor

  • Standard Reseller: ideal for resellers who want to take it to the next level and enable their customers with a self-service storefront to order/manage and provision services

  • Professional Edition (formerly tenant reseller): the most advanced edition will substitute the tenant reseller edition. Perfect for upgrading your standard resellers wanting to become System Integrators and MSPs who buy services directly from vendors (Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc.).

The Standard Reseller edition will be commercially available from April 2021 and it will be available at an additional commitment rate. In the following weeks, we will contact you to present the solution and explain the pricing model of the Standard Reseller extension.

In the meantime, you are all welcome to become our beta testers and start from this release to test the use cases we have delivered until now. More information on what is available for testing will follow up soon!

If you wish to find out more about the Standard Reseller Edition, check please our Standard Reseller Edition FAQs!

Management of Office 365 End User - New Functionalities

In this edition, we added new functionality for the management of the end-users:

  1. Licenses Statistics. This new section includes the customer’s Microsoft licenses (Office 365 or Microsoft Dynamics) with an analysis of how many licenses are active, how many have been assigned to users, and how many are available. For each license, we also display the Microsoft Offer ID and also the IDs of Microsoft subscriptions.

  2. Edit of User Info. You can now edit the details of an existing user, and you can also assign a new role.

  3. Restore a deleted user. You can restore a deleted user. When restoring a deleted user, their assigned licenses are also restored by Microsoft.

For more details, check please Managing & Monitoring Users & Licenses

Acronis Cyber Cloud for Cloud Distributors - Consumption Details

Your reseller can now view the consumption for each of their customers from your Marketplace. The “Usage Records” section is now available on the subscription details page, where there is analysis per reseller’s end customer. Your resellers will be able to export also the data in an excel file.

Reseller’s Affiliate Accounts

A reseller’s Affiliate Account is another customer account-type introduced in our platform to facilitate large Microsoft Indirect Resellers to easily buy Microsoft services and licenses either for their business units or for extra Microsoft tenants they are using for hosting solutions offered to their customers. The indirect resellers will now be able to create ad-hoc affiliate accounts when they place orders in your Storefront.

As a result of the introduction of Affiliate Accounts, our platform currently supports the following “purchase” modes for a reseller:

  1. Purchase for Personal Usage. A reseller for personal usage buys subscriptions for himself, and he does not expect any rebates from Microsoft. The reseller himself has one “account“ (tenant) in Microsoft Partner Center.

  2. Purchase for an Affiliate Account. A reseller buys subscriptions for an Affiliate Account, and he does not expect any rebates from Microsoft. The reseller has under him one or more affiliate “accounts“ (tenants) in Microsoft Partner Center without relating the tenants' subscription with his MPN ID.

  3. Purchase for an End Customer. A reseller buys a subscription for an end-customer, providing his MPNID for receiving incentives/rebates for these subscriptions. A reseller can have as many end-customers as he wants, and all the subscriptions of all his end customers are related to his MPN ID.

The affiliate accounts may be introduced to help Microsoft Indirect Resellers better manage the services they consume from Microsoft, but this does not mean that it can be used only from them. Even if you are not distributing Microsoft services, your resellers can still use the affiliate account accounts for managing the services they purchase from you for personal usage.
