We're thrilled to announce an improved "Scheduling Subscription Changes with Future Requests During Renewal" (also known as Manage Renewal) feature with a fresh new UI design in the Storefront portal!

💎 Value: This updated design (applicable only to the Storefront portal) enables customers to easily manage their scheduled license quantity changes during subscription renewal while also clearly viewing and verifying these changes once they have been scheduled from both the BSS and Storefront portals.

Additionally, we've implemented a retry mechanism to the Manage Renewal functionality that ensures that if the aforementioned scheduled changes are not executed (due to issues like deadlocks), the system will automatically retry up to 4 times. During this process, the subscription will temporarily enter a Pending state where the request cannot be canceled, and a status message will be displayed to keep users informed in both the BSS and Storefront portals.

⌛ Coming Soon: In the upcoming releases, more features and options will be included within the Manage Renewal functionality, such as changing the Term and Billing Plan of a subscription, wherever supported.

We are excited to announce the latest enhancement to our Products Import Tool, which is the introduction of a unique identifier called Product ID. This unique identifier allows customers to import products and prices seamlessly, eliminating the risk of duplicates by mapping directly to a product's unique GUID.

💎 Value: This improvement simplifies the import process by eliminating duplicates while ensuring data accuracy.

⚙️How it works: The tool remains unchanged, preserving all existing functionalities. When importing, users must ensure the Product ID is unique within the Excel file. Users can choose to use either the Product ID field or the default fields: Product Name, Code, and Type.

We are pleased to extend the availability of the “Upgrade to an Existing Subscription“ feature to all our public API users, providing them with the same level of convenience and flexibility in managing their subscriptions in terms of their upgradability, within their account. The new endpoints:

• “POST /API/Subscriptions/UpgradeGetExisting” (⚠️ Despite being a POST call, the <Upgrade Get Existing> endpoint serves as a GET function.)

• “POST /API/Subscriptions/UpgradeToExisting”,

empower users to fetch all active subscriptions and seamlessly transition from one subscription (source) to another existing subscription (destination) by first retrieving and validating active subscriptions and then executing upgrades by adjusting quantities between source and target subscriptions, for full or partial upgrades.

We happily introduce a new Storefront option, allowing resellers to define an Owner to an Adobe Linked Membership.

💎 Value: Adobe’s Linked Memberships enable multiple organizations to share access to a central subscription under a single owner, allowing them to benefit from Adobe’s volume discount. This feature simplifies managing Adobe Linked Memberships directly via Storefront and ensures clarity for resellers and end customers.

⚙️ How it works: Adobe resellers navigate to the "I want to..." section in the Storefront subscription view, fill out the appropriate details in the pop-up window, and assign an Owner to a Linked Membership. After submitting the Owner assignment, Adobe validates the submission, and if successful, the Owner must accept the terms in the Adobe Admin Console to generate an authorization code and share it with the Members of the Linked Membership.

✅ Availability: This feature is available for all Adobe resellers in their Storefront portals.

We have enhanced the error messages for invalid characters found in the uploaded pricing files (COM, EDU, GOV) for Adobe so that you can now identify the specific column and field where invalid characters are located.

💎 Value: This update empowers users to resolve issues independently, minimizing delays and reducing the need for support intervention.

⚙️ How it Works: When an uploaded pricing file (COM, EDU, GOV) contains invalid characters, users will now see a system-generated error message that specifies the affected column and field. This helps users quickly identify and correct issues to ensure successful file uploads.

With this release, we are introducing a new endpoint for updating an existing custom field in a specific asset, based on the given ID.

📍 Endpoint: PUT /api/assets/{assetId}/customfields

⚙️ How it works: As an API user, send a request to the above endpoint, replacing {assetId} with the asset's unique identifier. Include the custom field ID and the new value for the field in your request. If the request is successful, the asset will be updated with the provided value. To delete a custom field value, simply set the value to null in your request.

The following issues were addressed, with fixes applied where necessary:

1. Issue with Tenant Reseller During Partial Update - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where a partial update of the Tenant Reseller would inadvertently deactivate the product group, impacting availability in the BSS and Storefront portals. The issue occurred when performing a partial update after a full update with products belonging to a product group in the price list. The resolution involved adjusting the logic to ensure product groups are not excluded during certain checks, and now, the product group remains active, ensuring continuous product availability in both portals.

2. Trial Subscription's Auto-Renewal Was Not Automatically Being Disabled - Issue Resolved: We have resolved an issue where the auto-renewal option for trial subscriptions was not being automatically disabled on rare occasions. The fix involved adding another automated step in the process in cases of errors, ensuring accurate reflection of the auto-renewal status in our system.
